    Hi Laura,
Now that would make sense of him going to York with them in January, and theres NO WAY he would tell me he was having one as I woud immediatley think he had plans to go either now or later if we dont work out, he's always saying he's fed up with his job etc, etc,.
If I find out he's had a medical and not told me that either I will be furious, another un truth, he does'nt actually lie just not tell me things.
Is there any reason why it would have had to be York as there are panels of doctors in Newcastle, ( Where we live ) that do the medicals as well, he mentioned it was the only place you could do it 'Online' do you know anything about that? Yes I'd like to find out more about the visas required and whether he has had to have a medical, please tel me as much as you can, forewarned and all that,
    Thanks so much,
    Caroleann

Carolanne, there may be some truth in this. He might now be being economical with the truth with her as well as you when it suits him.

Margaretclare, how did you describe him? What, in your opinion, is the most appropriate term to use?
    Hi Errata,
Yes I realise that, sometimes I wish we ( Me and his ex ) could get together and compare notes, I know its pie in the sky but wouldn't it be great if we could just spend an hour together and get the story straight?
Theres no way of me checking anything, this Visa/Medical thing is looking interesting, are you keeping up with it?
I agree with you about the 'boyfriend' thing, I do feel a bit daft calling him that but dont know what else to call him, he's not my partner... yet.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi

Just pm'd you back....I'm not sure about the online thing...I have not heard about that...I have done my visa online but it didn't make a difference where we did our medicals...there was only one place in our area anyway....you will be able to do a lot of digging on the site that I have pm'd you....you can list what his wife and kid does and maybe get an idea on the type of visa that they have gone for, people on there will be able to say if he would have had to get a medical...I only started applying 6 months ago so mot an expert, i'm sorry.

I dont blame you for the furious bit, I feel sick for you! Lets hope that he was just giving her a lift.

    Take care

    Carole

    Jst found this
    http://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/overseas/u/united-kingdom/panel-doctors.htm#c

Basically its a list of places where you can have the medicals done for going to OZ...Newcastle and york are on it like you said...the only reason I can think of to go to one further away would be cost although if you pose the question on that other site then more knowledgable people might know of more..
    Hope it helps

I know how I'd describe him - EX!!!!!
Sorry if I'm speaking out of turn, I've been in a similar situation myself, I was kept hanging around for 7 years!!! How stupid was I, looking back on things.
He always had an explanation for the lack of commitment and for everything else that went on, then I thought stuff it and did the deed, kicked him into touch.
Of course he came back with everything I'd wanted to hear for ages - but it was too late by then.
4 years on and I'm in a happy, committed relationship that I would have missed out on if I'd stayed where I was.
Sometimes you have to take drastic action! At least if you do the deed it might spur him into realising what he really wants - and if that's not you, you will be free to get on with life and find someone who truly values you, as you should be.
Good luck and hope all goes well for you.

I'm not sure why wife and etc had to be driven to York. Newcastle to York is an easy quick rail journey and a very frequent service - about one train an hour. If they're fit enough to travel on public transport to Australia then I can't see why Gateshead/Newcastle/York should pose a problem.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

    Hi Carole

I'm applying for Visas to Australia and have just had our medicals done....ALL the imediate family have to have them so are you sure that your BF did not have to have one as well?? I've read of people who have not had anything to do with kids and they have had to get them to have medicals even when they are not going. I might be wrong but if his wife is applying then they would also look at your bf.....I'm sorry if this might confuse the situation but it really concerned me when I read it......I'm not fully up on the visa's but from what I have read on the internet either he would be included on the app or they would have to prove that they are divorced.

I really truely hope that you get this sorted out.
PM me if you want to know the best website to look at the visa side of things.

    Hi Laura,
I'm getting nowhere fast, cant register on that site at the mo, dont know why, so cant ask the questions I need to ask, will keep trying though, maybe someone on this site can help, I'll have a look, thanks for your help anyway.
