Had a magic afternoon sewing, finished off a table centre and have embroidered one pillow case, my heart was in my stomach when I started, I thought it was too far down, but its come out just right phew......it takes me ages to centre things, so heres hoping for the next one!!! Have sewn the scalloped edge, now have to cut it............hold your breath............... and also re-make the pillow case.....then tackle the other one, but I am saving that for another day!!! When I have finished them and got them back together I will photograph them.

OH has done the salad for tea, I am trying to teach him to do some things for himself........its hard going!!!

Breadmaker finished, thankfully this loaf has come out ok, do not know why the last one was such a funny shape......I do have a problem with the BM there is quite a bit of burnt flour in the bottom, I presume when its mixing some flies over the side, do any of you have the same problem???? its virtually impossible ............any tips gratefully recieved.

OH jumping up and down, Scotland won their game against England....mkae a change...........when we lived up in Edinburgh we used to avoid the Haymarket - Murryfield area like the plague, in fact we tried not to go into town at all!!!

I am off to open a bottle of something, think I deserve it......no late night tonight, or tomorrow, Frost isn't on again until Monday and we have seen several of then recently.......so may be not so many late nights next week.
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

not 1 ready meal or jar of ready made sauce in sight :j

  • Hi all,
Terrible thing to happen to your aunt Jockett...hope they manage to catch the pig. REally cant believe how some people think that it is acceptable to treat anyone like that, let alone an old lady.
Took the boys up for their swimming lesson this morning and had a workout in the gym. (dont be too impressed, came home and ate two cakes, tho they were small lol!) In town I got a leg of pork for lunch tomorrow from the market. Today has been a bit chilled tbh. Washed the car, now silver again; baked a few quiches and apple crumbles for the freezer.
Love saturdays! Still have one more day before I return to the mad world of teaching, and most of the work I need to do int he house is done, so can catch up with me-time. Mmmmmmmmm
    Enjoy your weekend everyone xx

    Hiya!

Jet77 Congratulations on your new job!

Smokybabe More big hugs on their way to you.

Jockettuk Happy Birthday. Hope your Aunt gets better soon, what a horrible thing to happen to someone, hope the culprit gets his punishment one day soon.

Yesterday after a busy day at work we all went 'ice-skating' at DD2's school. It was a special fund raising event that sold out very quickly. DH and the girls went on the pretend ice and I watched.;) Then we stopped off at the chippy for our tea. :D
Today we ordered a new carpet for DD1's birthday as we're re-arranging her bedroom. She's going to swap her cabin bed with DD2 and wants a more 'grown-up' bedroom. I've ordered a new desk and bedside cabinet for her and sent off for some blinds for her bedroom too. I've told her she can't have a btv in her room for at least another 18 months, otherwise we'd never see her!
I did all of the washing and drying and I'm off in a mo to tackle the ironing. At least I can watch Harry Hill while I do it.
Good luck to Catowen, hope you win!
