No, not quiet at all today, have been on feet for 8 hours, no sit downs at all and definitely no lunch break!! Have to try and eat between customers, but have been doing it for more than fiftenn years so used to it now. The advantage is that tea was already cooked when i got in (chilli). Just got a few minutes of peaceful surfing as DS is tucked up in bed, and OH and DD have gone on a bat hunt organised by the local wildlife society!!!0 -
Im sure most old stylers will be in bed or at least doing something more interesting, but I had to tell someone 'cos Im so excited!!!! :j (and OH is asleep in front of the football, tried telling him but was a waste of time)
My ebay listings are just finishing, and of 22 items I listed all except 3 (so far) have sold. 1 item has sold for more than was paid for it in the first place! :shhh: Also I changed my paypal account so I could receive payments, although I know there will be charges, it does seem to have made a difference that people can use paypal to pay for things. I think all except 2 or 3 people have paid immediately and Im so excited!! (sad really isn't it?)
Looks like I will have to get the brown wrapping paper out tomorrow! :T0 -

Excellent! That's fantastic! I've just started selling on ebay and I'm adicted at looking at how much my things are selling for. They're only books from my course, but I'm amazed at how much people are willing to pay for second hand books. Admittedly they're in very good condition, but second hand nevertheless! I keep checking my account whenever possible (my excuse to myself is that someone may have asked me a question) to see how much they are currently selling for...........................Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -

'Morning Penny Pincher :hello:
Sorry to hear you've not slept well again. It must be really getting you down ... do you get the chance to have a nap during the day? It's dreadful being deprived of a good night's sleep.
Today we are going to the car boot again. I'm looking for another flan dish. Yesterday I made Quiche Lorraine for the first time, using my Be-Ro book. Used good quality cheddar, free range eggs and some bacon I got from the Farmer's Market. It was absolutely gorgeous. It took a while to prepare but was well worth the effort. What I would like to do is make two at a time and freeze the second one.
We bought some lovely meat at the Farmer's market yesterday, and I am now looking at ways to stretch it further to be a) more OS with our finances and b) to cut down on having too much meat with our meals. Having made Quiche, I'm also going to experiment with Toad in the Hole. Lately I have had a 'meat and two veg' approach during the working week - but I think I could be more creative (and freeze meals at the weekend).Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -
Hi apple_mint
I am lucky that I can rest through the day(although i hate doing this)I rarely sleep through the day as it worsens my sleep at night. I do take sleeping tablets but these are fine for getting me to sleep but not keeping me asleep  My OH is great and helps me 24/7. I need help with everything but Im also quite stubborn, and most days I do too much when Im supposed be doing nothing really...but I have never done this before, have always been active, worked, socialised etc. Just didnt think that at 30 (31 in 2 weeks) that I would be living like this. I am starting to accept this but it will take time.
I have always wanted to make a quiche, could you post your recipe with thicko instructions? What kind of flan case do you need etc?
Have a leg of lamb for dinner, so will do roasties, mash (left from yesterday), stuffing, HM yorkies, carrot & swede, cabbage, gravy & mint sauceHopefully, there will be enough left for sarnies and a HM curry for tomorrows tea

Been on the computer for almost 2 hours - trying to clear my e-mail
Given up doing that, will have another go later on.
Apple_Mint, the thought of your quiche .........
Hoping to go to a carboot today, got a list of things I'd like. Although the weather looks like it's taken a turn for the worse.
Already defrosted sliced beef in gravy. Got beans yesterday from a roadside stall and I'll use the last of our carrots and get a cauli from the market.
Going to check PE kits later so that if I need to get anything before they return to school, I'll be able to sort it out during the week.
