Morning All.
Bundled OH off in a cab to the airport today and planned on staying awake and washing dishes and tidying up after the mess he created at the weekend but i was so sleepy, poor ickle me went back to bed... i deserved it.
Heading to work in about an hour so im tarting myself up a bit, must remember to take off my fluffy slippers befor ei leave the house tho.
Unfortunatley is a not-OS style lunch in the canteen today but its a very cheap canteen so i dont mind, then after work im gonna come home and blitz the kitchen as OH has left it looking like a bomb hit it this morning.
Take care all xx

'morning Ancasta
Feel a bit of a sleepy head this morning ... a real Monday morning feeling - probably to do with my busy OS weekend. Or that I simply don't want to go to work.
Cooked a ham shank in the slow cooker yesterday so I have the next couple of nights meals sorted. Tonight it's new potatoes from the garden, whatever veg is ready and ham in cheese sauce (probably stilton).Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -
Think I can enjoy a fairly leisurely morning. I have two lots of vistors due this week. First person was supposed to becoming yesterday, but got held up. So after lots of baking, making soups, changing beds etc over the weekend everything is ready.
Sad news is that one of my cats is very ill. He is due to go in for blood tests today. Think it might be leukemia or aids. He is only 11 months old and has a fanatastic nature, so really hoping its not. My other cat (female) is being spayed today. She is frantically trying to get my attention to make her breakfast, but I can't do that as she is not allowed to eat before the operation.0 -
Should be an exciting day for me today. Have a number of items finishing on ebay (I'm a first time seller) and although some of them have no bids, others are already at way more than I thought they'd get. Made some nice OS beef broth last night, may go for a casserole tonight. Need to do more physio exercises so my ankle is fit to leave the house unassisted this week - scary!

Up and about early today (for me that is!) oh decided to retire from his present job by Christmas so am thinking of ways to streamline the finances (again) to allow for living on a smaller income until he gets another job! I know that this gives me full license to thoroughly surf this site!;) for lots of ideas. Stomach still churning though! _pale_ Would rather earn the money by not spending it in the first place than try to up my hours at school before I am feeling a lot better healthwise. Suddenly Christmas seems a bit close:eek: must go investigate the Christmas thread:think:Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Good morning all
Must be sleepy Monday - I'm whacked this morning. Dd was up at 2 wanting feeding, so I'm all out of kilter now. Plus today I ACHE  because I did the race for life yesterday and I think I tried a bit too hard :rotfl: Still. I did 5km in 38 mins, plus to save on stress, time and parking charges I biked there and back, which was about four miles. My poor legs. I'm not walking ANYWHERE today. I've managed so far to get about £80 sponsorship, which is really good.
Picked up a cheap breadmaker cookbook at the warehouse book shop near to us on Saturday, so we'll be trying those out. I feel like I spent the weekend signing up for vouchers from here there and everywhere. Lets hope they all come through.
It's going to be a slow day here. DH is off work today and tomorrow, so a few phone calls and maybe a trip swimming is all we have on the cards. We might go to the seaside tomorrow if it is sunny as they seem to think :rotfl:

Catznine-Try not to worry, on this forum alone there are gazillions of tips to stretch the pennies and I bet you will surprise yourself how little you can spend. I understand your apprehension though and you're right not to push yourself workwise if you're not too well.
Prudent-*hugs* I hope the news isn't as bad as you fear for poor kitty.
I am on holiday from work this week with OH but we're not going away for the week. We are planning on going out for days in the local area. Today hopefully we will go to the zoo, I have found a voucher to save £1 each on the ticket price and I'm going to pack a picnic to avoid the extortionate food prices in the zoo. Tonight we might get a takeaway or go out for a meal but I have some vouchers to help with the cost.
Not too much OS apart from the packed lunch I suspect, except as soon as OH gets his backside out of bed I'm gonna put the bedding in the wash, hope it stays dry!
Have a good day all!Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams0 -
((((((((((catz))))))))))) I know what you mean hun, I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing now dh is taking a huge paycut. It will all come out right in the end.
Today I have to brave the weather to take my son to a cycling workshop and then I'm off to the library with the littlie for a storytelling session. At least it's all free activities provided by the council.
I must go and buy DH's birthday present while I'm in town too, I couldn't get it on Saturday as he was with me.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Morning all.
OS day yesterday, clearing the garden a bit, and harvesting. Ate our own potatoes, yay!
Wandered around charity and second hand bookshop at the weekend and forgot I was supposed to be looking for good saleable books, so instead bought three gorgeous 1960s childrens' books! Doh! Can't let me loose in book shops...but they were second hand of course, so OS! And only £6 for the three.
I transferred a good amount of money into my cash ISA, the result of not buying much online for the last couple of months, so that was pleasing.
But the flaming bus fare has gone up today and will cost me £2 more than last week to get to work and back for five days. How annoying! Must switch to train, much cheaper...and sometimes they don't even bother coming around to sell you a ticket...
Happy Monday everyone.0 -
Now ive woken up i have a nice OS list of to do's for today, but will very likely roll over to the full week.
Wash dishes OH hid under a tea towel lastnight
Make piles of washing to take to parents, hand wash anything urgent

Tidy round the living room after the wake of the human tornado
Sort out the baby box, its a box full of information, samples and freebies ready for when im pregnant
Take a look at some more houses for sale, keeping my eye on the market till 25th september
