    Good Morning All :hello:

OMG was downstairs watching a bit of TV,
looked up to see something crawling across the blind,
it was the worlds most enormous house spider legs acrossmust have been the width of a tea cup.
I got DB to scoop it out and chuck it out of the door now am a bit scared incase mummy comes and looks for it

Will be off to bed soon hope you all have a nice bank holiday monday icon7.gif
..Madness takes its toll. Please have exact change.. ;):p
  • Morning All :hello:

Up early again this morning...never mind. Got about 4 hours sleep which is pretty good for me :D

1st washload on-ready for OH when he gets out his pit. DW finished and will get DD to empty abit later, 20 min blitz needs doing and have scrubbed the toilet.

Yesterday OH and DD cleared the front garden-looks much better :D DD's granny gave her £5.00 for helping and she made £3.50 from ebay selling 2 books. So this will be going in her bank account tomorrow and we have made it up to £10 (not alot but every penny counts :p )

We are going to try and get out for a little drive today-maybe down the coast and OH has said he will push me in the wheelchair :o Might get a bag of chips to eat on the seafront? Also take aflask of coffee with us and a sandwhich. Will see how I am later. Id love to get to a bootsale but just dont feel well enough, think thats why im so addicted to ebay though  I never spend alot..only normally what we need-yesterday was an off day though...lol

Yesterday on ebay I managed to buy some pressies for xmas etc. I love country USA folkart and have collected over the last few years. A lady whom I have bought from before was selling 6 x 12"high handmade folk art welcome signs/plaques and I won at £7.25 for all 6 inc postage. I will keep one, then theres 5 for pressies and abit more personal than vouchers. Worked out each £1.12 inc postage and normally you pay about £20 each from the shops for them. She is very clever and dont think they could be made for this little. So, thats another 5 pressies done :T Also won a science kit for DD £3.00 Inc delivery, posh flip flops she wanted £3.25 inc delivery and a set of nail polishes to put away for £2.00 all in. I treated myself to a beginners guide to patchworking £2.99 inc postage. So managed 5 pressies for others (family & friends), 2 x pressies for DD (xmas), flipflops for DD and a book for me-for the grand total of £18.44.

There is lamb left from yesterday, probably just enough for a curry for the 3 of us, so will maybe do this for tea tonight.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Penny-Pincher!!

    'Morning everyone :hello:

Glad to hear you have managed a little more sleep Penny Pincher (and it sounds as though you got some great bargains on ebay yesterday!) N9eav - double time will no doubt very useful! Elisie, if my youngest daughter had seen a spider that size she'd have moved out!

Today the three us are going to have a picnic. I made a large cheese and egg quiche yesterday (and started on it for supper!) and cooked some quorn sausages for us to take cold today. I'll make a couple of different dips and I thought I'd try making some microwave chips this morning. OH made some lovely wholemeal bread roles topped with poppy seeds. Youngest was hovering round the oven as he took them out so we are are little down on those too :rotfl:

We plan to go for a walk and are taking some plastic tubs to collect blackberries in. Hopefully it will be a productive day :D
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D
  • Morning folks..

I'm pretty new to this site, and this type of chat thread - I've come across a couple of 'OS' threads, and I'd just like to say how nice they are to read first thing in the morning - just reading a little about everyone's day, and what they are planning to do etc...
It's really heartwarming to hear from so many other 'real' people like myself, just out doing normal 'stuff', car boots, walking, familly life etc - that type of thing gets so lost today in life's hectic world.

Today is my wife's bithday, and we're off out for a meal this evening - got baby sitters coming (in-laws!) about 3...
Other than that, nothing else planned - go out to the coast probably, take a walk as it's such a nice day (clear wife's head after drinks last night!! - I was designated dave)..

Hope you all have great day - I'll be back here I'm sure!!!

    Hi Everybody

Welcome, Cabbageboy - hope your wife enjoys her birthday.

Need to do so much in the garden but there's soooooooo much housework to do. Plus, I need to start picking fruit from the trees before they rot and drop off. Better sit down and have a cuppa while I decide what to do  :D

Have a chicken already in the new slowcooker, so dinner's sorted - more or less.

I might go to a carboot this morning as I'm still looking for a couple of things before the children go back to school. Yes - I've made up my mind. ......blow the housework, there's only another week of school hols - we'll go out this morning, pick fruit later and bake some pies/crumbles. The housework can wait :D

On that note, I'm off to have a cuppa to decide where to go and which fruit to pick later :rotfl:

    Bye

Off to work today, no bank holiday for the masses up here although it is a Bank holiday, gets very confusing but we have a holiday in September so no sitting in huge traffic jams for us.

Work will be peacefull too because the phones will be quiet, always are when its the English Bank Holidays.

Elsie, getting over run with spiders here too, sadly the usual method of disposal is the Dyson :rotfl:

    Hello everyone

Have you all missed me ? :D

Got back home about 1pm yesterday - had a quick look on here and see there are masses of posts to read so will be catching up on that over the next few days. Have to say, the hol was a bit of a nightmare. :( Got to villa Saturday night, so Sunday was a sort everything out and find an open supermarket kinda day. Then, tore all the muscles in my neck Sunday evening, just turning my head!! Absolute agony, but to make matters worse, we went out for lunch on Monday and I got a case of the worst food poisoning ever. Spent the rest of the holidays on or near the loo :wall: I can honestly say I have never been so ill. Only started to feel better the day we came home so at least we could split the driving. Still not 100% and not a healthy way to lose 1/2 a stone either !!

However, I'm sure I'll be laughing about it as soon as I'm better  As for today, must continue with the laundry and once I drag myself into the shower, I shall have to go to Tesco's as obviously nothing in. May even clean fridge before I fill it up. BM is on and I will probably make a spag bol for tea. I'm not up for thinking too hard about anything else, so I shall catch up with you all later.

Have a good day everyone :D

Oooh, nice to see you're back CQ
  • Oh no! Sorry to hear about your holiday disaster Ticklemouse. Sounds like my OH last year in Spain who managed to hurt his back, get food poisoning and chip a tooth all in the space of one week! You're back safe with us now!

Meant to get up about 7am this morning and when I opening my eyes it was quarter to ten - oops. We are going over the OH's family in Worcester today to take v cute 2 year old niece to the park for a picnic. Weather looks nice so should be a lovely afternoon.

Haven't touched the pile of work I brought home on Friday - guess I will have to just take it all back to the office tomorrow!

Hope you all enjoy your bank holidays.

    R x

    PS Get well soon Ancasta
