Morning
Went to bed quite early last night after a bit of a barney with the boyf (well, it was more like he annoyed the hell out of me, I stopped speaking to him, and he went out. Nice bit of peace and quiet while it lasted - he went to a friends and to get a takeaway curry - and was out for less than an hour  ) and I was a bit tired too.
Managed to sleep till 5am, and now im awake. Todays plans include going food shopping, and im buying lots of fresh fruit and veg as Im craving it. I might go out for the day too, im truly bored stiff here as there isnt much going on during the summer, all our friends are at home still, im still waiting to start work and im getting a bit of cabin fever just being around boyf 24/7.
:wall:
Ill probably have a bit of a browse on here for a while then go have a nice refreshing shower, and then see where the day takes me really!

Come home from work early as i got a big day ahead of me hopefully. Today is moving out of the parental home day if all goes to plan... well "get my keys to leave home" day. Cant move stuff into my new house till i can sort out curtains and stuff so all my belongings arent on show.. and im back in work tonight. (yikes) so need at least 6 hours sleep i think but might just manage 4. Ugh.0 -
I have a long day...but it's worth it. I shall be going fishing today off Newquay. The sun shining and the sea is calm and I hope to catch a boatload! I get home, then work a nightshift. Madness, but your only old once.NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0

Hello
Well, another day of pure fun and joy for me
Off to get a bikini line wax at 9. I usually do all that, but for hols I want it done properly - can manage everything else myself
Then, off to mum's to clean/launder/shop /do general errands. OH has boys today as he's got to return some camp stuff to HQ in Bury. At least I don't have to see him much today. His "love, help and support" transcended into him ignoring me last night and not speaking - even though I was talking to him. OK, I may have had a go at him at lunchtime, but cut me some slack at the moment. It's not like he hasn't been through the same thing
Think I'll try and get some reflexology or a full body massage before I go away. My back is knotted up like nobody's business and my feet are as stiff as old boards when I wake up - all stress related I'm sure. At least my headache's gone now - well, OH is still asleep
Not much true OS for me. Might use vinegar to clean mum's houseAt least I don't use much polish - usually a microfibre cloth and water, but she does insist on lots of washing liquid and fabric conditioner (yeuch)
Hope you all have a good day. Sorry for moaning again, but hey, someone has to listen and I know you can all skip my posts if you're bored of them
Take care all,
TM0 -
You told me wa-a-a-a-ay more than I needed to know. Washing liquid and fabric conditioner!!

Yes, squeaky - sorry for swearing openly before the watershed
(or should that be 'recycled using old egg boxes and ironing board covers-shed'
)
But then again - she doesn't know how little goes in if she's not there peering over my shoulder0 -
morning all! due to a stupid oversight on my part...i have gone over my overdraft  which means im gonna incur blimin charges...totally my fault but it has now mucked up my whole budget...i hate paying banks anything!!!!!
will now have to reign in spending to absolute minimum until end of month and then i can see what exactly the charges are and redo my budget and account for chargeshopefully using any pin money to pay the charges.
i decided on friday that i was naffed off being in red at the start of the month and living in my overdraft so i went to natwest (i usually bank with abbey) and opened a basic account...i am having part of my money paid in natwest which will cover all bills and housekeeping...and the rest of my money into the abbey which will cover all debts and paying a little off my overdraft every month...which i intend on asking the bank to reduce my overdraft accordingly each month...so hopefully i can see more obvious debt reduction each month. (its all in the mind lol)
on an OS note, washing is drying on line, breadmaker has just provided me with yummy loaf (go panasonic!!) :rotfl: and im having a housework and laundry day today...still need to buy a few things for the boys for back to school...but it can wait until the very last sec (not very organised i know but money dictates!)
counting down the hours until tomorrow when our chickens and their house arrive, kids are really excited about this...but not as much as mum lol
have a good day all!!!November NSD's - 70 -
:hello: Morning folks :hello:
I'm back! Bet you all missed me! I tried to venture on yesterday, but evidently the computer had had two weeks of holiday too and wasn't prepared for me switching it on.It seems to be working ok at the moment though. (fingers crossed)
OH has gone back to work today to leave me to carry on washing like there's no tomorrow. I can't believe how much washing there is for just two people.
Now that we're back from our hols, I've got to start looking for a new house to move into - just renting still. Oh, and a job. There just seems to be more doom and gloom about the lack of jobs for primary trained teachers (ie me!) and that so many are being made redundant because of falling rolls. SO WHY TRAIN US? Sorry, I'm just getting a little panicked! Where we're hopefully moving to there is a larger opportunity for jobs............. we hope!
Anyway, I've got a house to tidy and washing to do. Better pop to the library to return my books that I took on holiday.
See you all later

Good morning all
Working after lunch so enlisted my DD's to help get the house sorted and tidy.
Have great plans to make a couple of banana loafs later, as well as making up half a ton of pastry to make my pies with (did mince beef and veg in the slow cooker yesterday for the fillings) Will need to get some bread going too.
Egg and chips for tea tonight - not had that in ages.
DH is at work this week but then off for 2 weeks, will be bliss, he's never had 2 weeks off work when the kids have been on hols' got so much planned, been saving up lots of freebie days out vouchers. We're off to the zoo, a concert, france on the ferry, a maize maze, a working farm, the local flour mill, local museum.......and hopefully lots of days at the beach - wheather permitting of course.
I read in another thread about food flasks - they seem a good idea - i've had a look on argos and they're about £6.99.....anyone know where they're cheaper????
Hope you all have a good one."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
jw1096 - hope you've made up with boyf - I remember what my dear old Grandma used to say "never go to bed on an argument".
johanne - fingers crossed!
N9eav - coo, looks like fun. Soooooo, what did you catch?
TM - you musn't apologize for moaning again - and btw, your posts are always motivational.
JD - Grrrr, can feel your frustration.
VickyA - cause we've missed you!
Well, work today, and paperwork at lunchtime, but hoping to do a batch of fairy cakes this evening. Unexpected overnighters (phoned Friday night - they had planned a day trip to the seaside - but had seen the weather forecast!) at the w/e, but managed to avoid calling for a take-out, by having an "indoor barby" type affair, (aka "mixed grill") salad and garlic bread. MrO did a fab job, if I must say so myself. Anyway, really, really MUST get on.....0
