She again smiled and answered, "You know every day when you come home from work and you ask me what in the world did I do today?"
"Yes" was his incredulous reply.
She answered, "Well, today I didn't do it."Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. I've spent the morning blackberry picking. Luckily I live in the country but usually have to search for blackberries as others usually get to them before me. Must be my lucky day, loads of berries everywhere, managed to pick over 7lbs :j I am planning on making my family food hampers for Christmas and have found a recipe for spicy blackberry chutney. Also did a quick inspection of the damsons but I don't think they are ripe enough yet.January spend = £100

Afternoon!
I had a massive sleep last night, a whole 12 hours. I must have needed it though, as I woke up fresh as a daisy and ready to attack the day. Well, not quite yet though!
My list for today includes cooking, laundry, and a few plates to wash. Ive then gotta do some online coursework, and a few emails. I tried to call my friend yesterday, but her phone was switched off strangely. I think ill try her boyf's mobile today, I dont feel its rude as he is a friend of mine too!
When boyf ever decides to move his lazy rear, he has a list of things to do today too - I refuse to let him sit playing computer games all day while I write a letter for him to his bank to also have some charges cancelled! Some men are rediculous! He actually thinks that he isnt capable of doing ANYTHING by himself, and im getting pretty tired of it now! Even the cat can do things for herself which he appears not to be able to do.
Anyway, off for a quick browse with a cuppa before I get on with the day! Hugs to all those who need them!

Did the weekly shopping with OH,who rushed around the store with the list,so everything was in the car and we were going home 20 minutes later:D
Then we went to Chatham (about 7 miles away) and bought my birthday present which is a trailer for my bicycle so i can shop without the car when I want to and will be so useful when I next visit the garden centre.
Then this afternoon we mended the shed door which had fallen apart and connected the water butt to a rain pipe under the kitchen roof.
Chicken is in the microwave and potatoes boiling before I roast them (we have our evening meal quite early most days).
Will watch 'The real goodlife' later as I love these shows that inspire me to get off my ****.0 -
Well, I've had a pretty productive day so far. 4th load of washing is in the machine, 3rd load is on the line. Bed is changed (4th load of washing is the dirty sheets), ironing done, hoovering done and kitchen spotless - including hob rings!
I went to Morrisons (couldn't face Sainsbury's), this weeks shopping cost me £29 & some pence. Meals all organised for the week (til Thurs, we're going for a curry on Friday night) & DD cancelled with the bank. My gym bag is packed with clean kit, so no excuse to not have a workout tomorrow.
OH will be home soon, so time for me to go collapse on the sofa, remote control in one hand, beer in another!0 -
This morning I tried my hand at making a batch of scones, but something went a bit wrong as they hardly rose at all. Never mind, they still tasted ok and I'll have to keep practising to get better.
I have done some work on my slimming class for this Thursday, popped to the library to get my reserved book (I just love being able to read loads of great books all for free!) and went to Tescos to get a few bits, stocked up on Quorn sausages and burgers as they were on BOGOF. Got some reduced stir fry veg and reduced beansprouts so guess what we have for dinner tonight!
We have the clothes horse in the living room as its been rainy out today. I'm trying to get the motivation up to do some cleaning, I do need to hoover the house, clean the kitchen surfaces and dust but just feel too lethargic!
Partner has bought a new (to him, not brand new) car today. He always takes very good care of his cars by always keeping in garage overnight, cleans and polishes every Sunday so he gets a good trade-in price. He negotiated a good deal for the new one with 6 months tax, servicing and a 1 year warranty so it was a fairly OS way of buying a car I suppose. Of course he had already saved up the money for it so didn't have to buy on finance as well.
Well have a good evening all, sarah.Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams0 -

Just press down with the cutter and then lift off. DO NOT twist the cutter because this will stop the scones from rising.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Well my whole weekend has not been very old style, we took our caravan and parked it in field so we could help a friend with a 60th birthday bash. Friday night drinks for 200, thankfully we were not involved with the food, but we did wash up over 200 glaases. Saturday saw us setting tables for 50, serving champagne, parking cars and washing up 150 glasses, crockery and cutlery for 60, the only OS part of the weekend was the fact that we ate very well, left overs from the lunch fed us for both our main meal and also supper.
We got back home and had lunch on cheese we had brought home with us and we have just had roast lamb with walnut and apriocot stuffing, new spuds carrots and green beans with nectarines and icecream for dessert...... and the remains of a bottle of champagne from my birthday in the week now I need to go to bed, catch up woth some sleep and recharge my batteries ready for the preparations for our holiday in two weeks time!!!!!
