    - Not taking more than £1 each to work with us (just enough for a paper etc)

Anyone else got any other good ones for short term cut backs? Thanks guys!
    Yep!!

Don't buy papers unless you're going to use them for fire logs, animal bedding or compost.

Most newspapers can be read on line and in fact, somewhere (I can't find it) there's a link to an on-line list of dozens of newspapers.

So that should save you thirty quid or so :)

    Just google for your favourites.

    Morning all.

Can't get my !!!!!! into gear this morning. Boys are playing out with the other kids, they've managed to wreck the house as only little boys can and the kitchen looks far worse than only having had 3 breakfasts made in it.

Really need to get on and sort holiday clothes out. The mountain of ironing is growing by the minute too. Have another load waiting to go on the line and one more to come in. Haven't a clue what's for tea - leftover day I expect.

TBH - sitting here in a state of shock and can't reach my friend on the phone. Mum's just been on the phone - she's put her back out doing things she can't/shouldn't de attempting and then dad's just phoned her with bad news. They've done all they can for him so it's palliative care from now on :( I really need to ship the kids somewhere this afternoon so I can go and visit Dad without them. It's not a place little kids want to be for longer than 30 minutes and today's not the day to be rushing.

Ah well, DS2 has just reminded me that life goes on - he's dressed up as The Hulk and wants to play. Bless them. Ah, for the innocence of childhood again.
  • Thanks you guys! Trying to get OH to see how useful this all is, is like wading through treacle. He just cant see further than this month, annoyed thta we will have nothing left from our wages. But we are in a viscious cycle of overdue and missed payments and charges that we can only get out of if we dont get any more this month by being completely strict! I am preaching to the converted here I konw but it drives me nuts that he is so negative!

    Hi TM,

So sorry to hear about your dad, it's such a hard thing to get your head around. My mum is also at the point now where she's been told there's nothing else they can really do for her so I understand what you're going through. If you'd like to chat PM me and if there's anything I can say or do to help I'll do my best.

    Take care of yourself.

    Love
