    Ewwww it's Monday!

Managed to get to my bed at 2.00 am after a few glasses of plonk. Musta slept like a baby as I was wide awake again at 5.30 am. But I don't mind, I am on holiday from work and spending less time sleeping makes the days and holidays stretch. Fabulous!

I've not got much exciting planned for today - continue with my decluttering mostly. Made a massive dent in my two foot high pile of papers, just need to buy a couple of box files and it'll be done. Then I will start on the wardrobe, & airing cupboard to get rid of all those clothes that haven't seen the light of day for about 10 years, except for when I moved house ho hum.

Definitely have to go to the library today - my books were due on 6th Aug, silly me thought they were due today, so I'll have a fine to pay. I have Dawna Walter's book about decluttering and mastering your bad habits. Will get that extended as it's v.good.

I love days off work....especially when it's Monday....
  • Morning you early riser! I am still unemployed (surprise, surprise, as I haven't applied for anything  ) so having a VERY lazy day. 'Morning everyone!

Early start this morning - up at 5 am to rewrite my CV and get it off to a recruiter before I go to work. Now finished and I'm happily eating my breakfast.

Spent yesterday afternoon filling in an an application form for another job. Took me four hours because it had to be hand written and I had to compose it all first before I committed to paper!

Yesterday I picked up some lovely recipe books for my collection at a local car boot. I daren't count how many I've got now ... I justify them saying that they cost less than a magazine to buy and I get hours of fun out of reading them! OH not complaining 'cause he gets some interesting meals now a days!

OH on leave today so he'll be hanging the washing out and doing the OS thing :D

Looks as though it is going to be a lovely sunny day - hope you all enjoy your OS day!
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D
  • Morning all

Working from home today getting all my little work jobs done ready for hols on Sat. Two weeks off :T

I also have been clutter clearing Snowy Owl, need to take 3 bags to the charity shop, recycle a million carier bags :o , I'm going to buy some fabric bags today as it's horrendous to think about all that waste.
I'm doing a store cupboard challenge all week to clear the freezer so will need to do a meal plan. Well off I go......

    Have a good day everyone

  • Morning all!

Bad start here today - I ache all over, and I'm not entirely sure why. A good day yesterday - sold a bundle of books, so have to go to the post office to pay it in, and also post another Amazon book that we sold last night (woo hoo!) but otherwise no big plans. Carbonara for tea tonight, so no thinking about it until later. Might bake some cookies with DS if I can get myself going, but at the minute it's not looking likely ...

Good luck with job apps everyone!

    Hiya all :j:

Well, OS day not off to brilliant start :) After making fruity bread yesterday, with no fruit, I decided to do another one last night, to take to mum's today. So, set it all up, remembered to press the 'extras' button, came down this morning to find that the fruit had been released into the machine - during the bake cycle  So, ANOTHER cinnamon loaf, but this time I had to scrape off lots of burnt sultanas sitting on the top :(

However, I could say 2 loads of washing on line - but they have been there since yesterday :) Off to clean mum's house in a moment, probably have to cut her grass too. Then boys have a swimming lesson just after lunch, so will come home after that and attack MY garden. Tea will probably be HM nuggets - I didn't get round to making them this weekend.

Must call in at garage too - bought my milk there on saturday (don't sell skimmed at Aldi/Lidl) and it's off - date doesn't run out till 10th so not pleased!!

Ah well, off to dry my hair and start the cleaning/gardening challenges for the day :)

    Morning My Lovelies.

Back to OS today. OH is away this week for the last time till wednesday so he will be back in time for his 23rd birthday on Thursday. YAY. i just hope my present for him from ebay arrives, despite him getting his real present in february ( it was reduced to a 1/3 of normal price)

Got a client coming round tonight for some hair extensions so i will grab what i can to eat, when i can, Ill have an hour in the house before the get there and i need that time to prepare the extensions, and sort out receipts etc. so hope they dont mind the house being "lived in". The extensions should take about 2-4hrs, depending on how much the customer fidgets. I dont know the client too well as it is a friend of a friends girlfriend so ive asked a mutual friend to come over and sit with me while i do it. Said friend is staying the night so i have kept half a packet of bacon and some nice bread back to do her a buttie in the morning or a fry up as i have an egg, some sausages and beans stashed.

Got 3 items up for sale on ebay with 7 day listings so i HOPE i make my desired price on them, well, on one item particularly as it cost £20 to make so i am looking for atleast £20! hopefully the sale prices ofthe other two might let me take a wee drop on the 3rd one. who knows *shrug* No word from the amazon books i listed, guess no one wants them. heh. Bit begrudged to list all my colin forbes books as i enjoy going back and reading them... but i'd rather have cash.. its a tough decision.

My desk is infront of the walk in wardrobe in the spare room as i might get my friend to give me a hand moving it so i can get my cd's out and amazon them (OH put desk in front of the doors so i couldnt play my "dodgy" taste in cds  )

Will report back later when ive got my head round the other things i have to do :)

Another bad start, did not get up until 10am but I suppose at 62 I am allowed a lie in DH brought me my breakfast in bed, always fatal, washing done overnight out on the line, nothing much else planned for today except a clear up downstairs and cook supper tonight.

We are off to a posh party on Thursday taking the caravan so we do not have to travel home, doing some setting up Thursday and helping generally Friday, party Friday night, home Saturday afternoon and then all hands on deck to pack the caravan for our holiday 'en France'

Up at 6am again with the kids. I need a bit of a lie in (say until 8am!). I even let them go to bed at 10pm instead of 8pm 'cos i thought they'd sleep longer in the morning. No way, up bright and alert at 6am! I had them out playing in the garden by 7.30am. Neighbours must think i'm a horrible mum kicking the kids out into the garden at 7.30am. Last time i looked they had stripped off their shoes and socks and running around bare footed with only T-shirt and shorts on and playing ''parties'' in a self-made tent eating apples and blackcurrant juice.

OH is laid on a sunbed in the summerhouse supposedly supervising the kids but i think he's somewhere between listening to radio 4 and dropping off to sleep.

Made a fruity loaf (plain white with sultanas and cinnamon) in the BM. This is great as toast especially with a slice of Port salut cheese on top. Lunch is going to be sandwiches and i haven't worked out what's for tea yet. It'll definitely consist of something from the slow cooker as i'll be having an afternoon nap along with the kids today!
