Did the usual Saturday tidying and then impressed myself by finally making the microwave lemon curd that i found on here ages ago. It's so nice! I've nearly eaten all of a baguette as it's just so moorish! :)

Hmmmm - shopping trip for 'bits' after I'd visited the hospital didn't go as planned.

Went in with list of FIVE items (although one did say 'biscuits' so could have been a multiple purchase) and I promised boys a treat for being good. Went to Aldi - spent £30+! No skimmed milk so off to Lidl's (on way home) Again, no skimmed milk , but spent £25  However, did buy boys a new pair of trainers and Mr TM some flip flops for hols, also got both boys a UV swimsuit (£4.99, instead of teens of £ in M&S, Boots etc.) Also have now stocked up on fruit juice, tinned toms etc. Still had to go to garage on way home for my skimmed milk!

Thus, haven't had time to make HM pizzas so that's on for Monday/Tuesday. DS2 has just eaten 4 weetabix for tea (along with 4 for brekkie) but he's so tired, anything will do)

Off to empty washer, empty line and get boys ready for bed, before mammoth ironing pile tonight :(

    Hi everyone,
Had a busy day, went to the gym today and then boyfs mum and gran came round. Have spent all afternoon tidying up while boyf has finished the patio.
Then we were going to have a barbacue, but the coal we've used wn't light so we've put the grill on instead.
While we were outside I could hear my next door neighbour telling the neighbour on the other side that me and my boyf are very strange - because we never talk to them and apparently walked past them in a shop today. We've lived in our new house 3 months and say hello to them when we see them, but because them and the neighbours on the other side are always at each others houses and even share a garden, they think we should do the same!! I don't think it's us that's strange!!

Poor you - so they make you feel welcome - not! And for you to hear them say that. Well its their loss Im sure.

    Evening all!

Had a fairly good day, I quilted a lot and then we had visitors up from London (which boyf neglected to warn me about!) so went over to Castle Combe for the afternoon and just had a take out curry - we usually share one as we never eat a whole by ourselves and he ordered a madras - so I had a fragment of chicken and declared it was burning my lips, and ate lots of rice and garlic naan instead!

Doing more quilting now, and having a discussion with boyf's friends girlfriend who is veggie, and are going through my cookbooks, discussing coffee and quilting! We plan to go to London soon and send our boyf's out to the pub while we knit - its always good to meet new people who like the same things - and has enthused me even more about the upcoming Blackpool meet - yey!

Im going to watch another movie this evening and quilt even more - and boyf knows that tomorrow is laundry day, he is helping and there will be no escape! (Can you hear the whip cracking!!!)

    Morning all

Where is everyone? All up and about and at car boot sales etc I hope :D

I've just put a steak and veg casserole in the slow cooker in case my guests turn up. It will portion down and go in the freezer if not.

About to have a quick shower then run round and do those last jobs I didn't do last night (10pm did find me in my dining room deciding to wash all my crystal - just the sort of thing you do on a saturday evening :)) Have my plastic tablecoth soaking in bio washing powder in the bath overnight - kids still manage to get ketchup and weetabix to stain, even on placcy :) At least my bath will be nice and clean too.

OK, about to be booted off here so shower here I come. Catch you all later.

    Morning everyone!

I had an early one today, up with the lark at 6.30 am today - it's a rare event I get myself out of my pit before 10.00 am on a Sunday so am v.pleased with myself. I went for a long fast walk last night, and perhaps hadn't relaxed after that. Never mind, I'm up and washed, fed and watered. Completely forgot about car boot sales though, doh!

So far I've gone through a load of papers - had a pile about two feet high and have chucked the genuine rubbish. Just need to put the stuff I need to keep into files. That'll keep me occupied for a few hours, if I can bear to tear myself away from here that is :o.

Later today I'm off to 3 show homes in a nearby town to see the decorating ideas and colour schemes. Please don't let me buy a house, that would be a complete money saving disaster...
  • Morning All :hello:

Another !!!!!! day today! OH had to push me out of bed as I couldnt move this morning...will I ever feel half normal :wall: ?

Anyway, once I took pain killers with breakfast, managed to tidy out rotunda in kitchen(sitting on floor) as it was driving me mad(took me half hour and Im now laying on sofa to recover-not feeling good _pale_ ). Didnt realise I had so much store cupbaord items. DH cleaned 2 other cupboards for me, swept through, unloaded/reloaded dishwasher, washload done and on line and has wrapped 10 ebay items that need to go off tomorrow...he's a goodun!

Back at Kings hospital tomorrow, so fingers crossed everyone that I wont have to go back in again...especially not for another 2 weeks! Know he's not going to be happy as there is no change

Been invited to BIL later for a BBQ/Buffet, really want to go and they have said I can lay outside and do nothing, and that it would be nice to see me....ahhh thats sweet..grouphug..lol... :grouphug: Think some of the family (ones that matter to me)have finally realised that I am ill...pity its taken 2 years, but better late than never.

Think, if I go (told OH & DS to go anyway...free food..lol-saves cooking!) I will take a bottle of Red Blossom Hill (won at DS school raffle-well actually 5 bottles :silenced: ) bottle of Bucks Fizz thats been in the wine rack for months and make some HM Chicken & Pasta Carbonara...scrummy. Probably do this at lunch and make loads and take the rest round-OH likes it with bread and butter. Im gonna have breaded haddock, mash and veg for lunch ;)

Have a great day guys and hope you are all well. Going to have a nap.

Morning all, No car boot for me this morning. Went to the piccies and then on to the pub with dh last night. Woke up feeling so tired and washed out this morning even though I only had two drinks and I was in bed by midnight.

DH is playing at a local concert this afternoon so I am taking DD2 to the family day at the city park.
