Morning all am still hobbling! All I have done is had breakfast and got dressed. Had some visitors and more chocolates.

Had a disappointment this morning as my neighbour had said that he would renew his Makro card and let me use it but has decided not to renew. Shame I really could do with one to save me some money boo hoo!

Well still have to try and get a bit more mobile today but at least I have these boards to keep me busy. Enjoy your day y'all.

    Hello

Tried to have a lie in - well, fed kids then retired back to bed with a cuppa and the telly on.

Have stripped beds and 2 loads of washing on line, another one in. BM is on, will be doing pizza dough later as DS1 is really looking forward to making his own. Trying to do loads of cleaning today as one of my best friends and her family are in the area this weekend at a family function and have said they will try to call in tomorrow. Haven't seen her in ages, so hopefully she will make it.

Have to visit Dad in hospital later, he will be in for another week. Mum's not too good today either as stress is taking its toll, so had to console her this morning. Have to get a couple of bits in supermarket later - there's an Aldi near the hospital, which I've just remembered :)

Have written a great long list of things that need doing, but not many of them are getting done as yet - kids keep interupting, as kids do :)

    See ya all later. :)

Today I found 6 t shirts for my DS at £1 each in a new pound-shop style shop in town.He lives in T shirts and they are all plain and dark(he hates bright or with adverts) .I usually get them in millets for about £3 each so thats a nice saving.
Researched bus ticket prices for DS,for when he starts college and discovered if he takes one bus and then a 5 minute walk,it will be £7.50 a week cheaper than if he takes the other bus right to the gate(we have 2 different bus companies).
Poundland have the non stick parchment again,I've been waiting for them to restock. They are excellent for baking biscuits on and I can use them in the microwave too.The old ones will be cut down to fit cake tins.
The fridge is in its usual virtually empty state as tomorrow is the weekly shop,so we had tuna sandwiches (HM bread and thawed out tuna mixed with marg ).OH has taken DD to her Karate class.
Im hoping he will cut down an old half-glazed door for me this weekend as I want to use the glazed half to make a cold frame.I'd do it myself but the door is very heavy and Im not very good at getting saw cuts straight.
Tea tonight will probably be quiche and baked potatoes.

Elona the tinned yeast is available from sainsburys and sommerfields

Oh yes - Elona, forgot to mention the yeast. I use the one in the Orange tin - think it's Allinsons and it does say that it's for hand baking only and it has to reactivated first, but I never bother - just put 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 tsp on top of the flour, depending on whether I am doing a 1 1/2 lb or 2 lb loaf. You can get it in Tesco's and also Holland and Barrett (still 99p per tin)

afternoon all :) - I'm on a 12hour shift today  so I'm not terribly O/S... ah well. I was very organised and brought a cool bag in with breakfast, lunch, tea and snacks though so I won't need to buy anything (and I can go out straight from work to a FREE movie premier.... :D ). In fact I was super-organised last night and did all my meals for today AND tommorrow.

Vastly looking forward to my time off next week and have booked Tesco to deliver on Monday morning so I can get on with my baking and things.

Have a good day all (and tell me all about it so I can have a life vicariously!)
Pre O/S: what's a vitamin? Does it begin with the letter e?Now: I'm not eating any of that pre-made rubbish...

    Thanks Ticklemouse

We only have a tiny Sainsbury here so will have to get DH to give me a lift.

Have just put another loaf in breadmaker and put a huge chicken curry in slow cooker - should be ready for 6p.m. tonight.

Went to Lidl this morning and very pleased with what we got.

  • well, back from a marathon walk around the town/village. An hour at the playground, then a bus trip to the other end of the village (special treat for DS) and then stopped in to the DIY shop for some coriander and basil seeds for the windowsill. Then to the healthfood shop for some ricecakes for DD and they had riceflour, so I've bought some. Hopefully in the next couple of days I can make muffins (breakfast, rather than sweet ones).

Chilli-style tea in the slowcooker for serving on a pile of asda tortilla chips (CHEAP nachos!) and second load of washing out. Sadly, my bread rolls didn't rise very well. I think I need to find somewhere better to let them prove before cooking, just can't work out where as the airing cupboard's not that warm over the summer ... Any ideas?

    Afternoon,
Had a long lie in then took DD1 to the dancewear shop to collect her new skirt I ordered. The last one cost me £39  (from a different shop) and she has only had it for a year, this one was £19.99 so much better. (Also ordered it a bit too long so she gets more wear out of it.)
Im going to put the old one on ebay as dancewear sells well on there. Am also going to attempt to find a pattern so I can make any more she needs myself.
After this I went to the school uniform shop and got her a couple of school cardigans and a brownie t-shirt. I was really pleased because I saved £5 on the cardigans compared to what the school charges. :T
Popped in to the Co-op and bought some yoghurt as a starter for my new yoghurt machine, and as OH and DD2 only like strawberry yoghurt I bought some milkshake syrup to flavour it. Im going to have a go at my first batch in a minute.
OH is clearing out the garage, and has found loads of things he knew he hadnt thrown away but just couldnt find, and is sorting out car boot items too. He has put an absolutely immense and very heavy sideboard out on the drive as the council are doing a bulky collection next week. Its a horrendous sideboard an used to belong to P-I-L its also covered in inches of grime and cobwebs from being buried deep in the garage. I cant decide whether to wipe it over in case the neighbours think it has come out of my lounge like that, or whether to leave it as it is cobwebs and all! :D
Im off to unbox the yoghurt maker!

I "prove " mine by putting them in the oven at a very, very low heat for 30 mins.
