Congrats Chipps and Happy Birthday tootles.

Very strange day for me, I stayed in bed until 11.30 as DH starts his new job tonight and had to go back to bed this afternoon so he got up with the littlie and I had a lovely lie in.

I've got washing on, washing out to dry and washing put away. Something pulled out of the freezer for tonights tea but now I have to keep the littlie quiet whilst DH sleeps. It will be the first night in years that I have slept on my own so if I'm up posting tonight then you all know why.

I'm always restless if OH isn't there. There is just a big gap where something warm and cuddly should be...and no a teddy just isn't the same (different smell...)

OH is 40 on 25/8 and I'm 40 on 17/9 - boo hoo hoo  I intend to make him a chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream and black cherry jam sandwiching two sponges together and then cover the whole lot in royal icing so he doesn't know what it is. I have got a banner and some confetti off the market and the lady is getting me the 4 and 0 candles. I have really pushed the boat out and bought him a couple of DVS (off an e-bay store so both of them and postage was less than they are on the high street or even on play.com). I have also bought him a square foot of land in scotland so he can call himself a laird!!!! I thought it was a fun present - well it is his 40th and it wasn't that much and i was going to buy him a watch but I went to the loo when we were shopping the other week and when I came back he'd got to the getting his £15 out for one........ well, there was a queue.......

Spendaholic: I am just so going to regret asking this ..... how come somebody stepped on your mobile??

The last of the very reduced chump chops have been retrieved from the freezer so it will be that with veg and mash for tea - after i have had my blood pressure taken. I just know it's going to be up as I am soooo angry and weepy at the moment.......... no, i don't know why either and I keep having loads of nightmares........ last night i don't know what it was about but I woke up reciting The Lord's Prayer so I must have been scared.......

Well, it's like this. We have a settee in the middle of the room with a sideboard behind it. The only one who ever goes between the settee and the sideboard is the cat. So that's where I put my work bag. Of course, Misterholic then decides that the only time he ever needs to go via behind the settee is when my bag is there, and frequently he'll huff and puff and move it noisily, but tidily, to the wall, complaining about me leaving stuff "in the middle of the floor". It was while he was doing this (I was out, but he must have been quite impatient) that my phone and sandwich box fell out of the bag, and he trod on the phone. Or that's what he says ...

Anyway, he's said he'll give me the money back, so that's ok. :D

Isn't it amazing that at the side or behind the sofa is "in the middle of the florr" and yet discard shoes/socks/clothing/towels left in the middle of the floor are "put away"..........

And WHAT is this wet towel on the bed thing? When OH's Bro and Wife came to stay I went into the bathroom after them to find every towel (2 hand, one bath and a bath sheet) had been used, were wet and in a pile on the floor. I told OH that I am NOT a maid service.......... didn't make any difference......
