Feeling really groggy today
Went into town yesterday afternoon and started to feel really lousy. By the time i got home i had terrible stomach pains and was throwing up. Spent most of the day in bed today but just got up to stick a loaf on in the BM or else OH won't know what to give the kids for tea. While I'm up i thought i'd go on MSE to see what's happening in the world

Sorry I haven't been on for ages - I've missed you all.
Lots of people seem to be feeling unwell today - hugs and hope you're all soon feeling better.
I seem to have had little time for OS activities lately. What with the temp job and the usual amount of mystery shopping I don't seem to have any spare time at all at the moment. At least it means I don't have time to spend any money, which I suppose is OS. It must be working - we've sent off a cheque for £8k today, to pay off part of the mortgage. Since getting the thing paid off in full is my ultimate goal, and which OS is helping hugely towards, I'm in a very good mood today!0 -
Hello again
Hmmm - not a very money saving day today, in that I've spent best part of £300  Had to replace 2 tyres on car and cheapest decent tyres were at Costco (£172), so saved £80 on buying the same tyres elsewhere. Then had to renew membership and spent nearly £100 on stock cupboard items - DW tabs, loo roll, kitchen roll, placcy food bags etc. (some stuff for mum anyway)
However, for those interested, Costco have the Panasonic BM (SD253) in at £70.48 incl VAT and the Brita water filters are about £12ish for 6. Will update those threads when I find them.
Off to surf again then hang last load of washing out.0 -
Morning All :hello:
Been up since 4am feeling rough-but dont want to moan today as we're off till saturday visiting my sister on the coast  Still being on total bed rest-I will probably just lounge around and chat, which we havent done in months and maybe OH might take me out in wheelchair along the beach-I love the sound of the waves!
Packed everything yesterday and house cleaned from top to bottom-thanks to DS and DH :T Dishwasher needs emptying and floor swept. Then we're off at 8am, coz DS is booked into a gym club at 10Am and were gonna hit london traffic  Normally takes about an hour to get there.
Gonna do bacon butties for in the car and take a bottle of frozen/icy water, so we wont have to stop at overpriced garages for food or drink. Probably take crisps, fruit and biscuits too
Anyway, you guys take care. Im gonna miss ya :grouphug:

Have a lovely time Penny-Pincher! Hope you feel lots better after taking in all that sea air! The thought of your bacon butties are making my tummy rumble!
Slept a lot better last night ... thought that might have been due to the two lovely glasses of chilled white wine
Two more days and I'm on two weeks leave .. I'm counting down the minutes!
Went to do the weekly shop last night and we are so well stocked up (freezer and store cupboard plus veggies in garden) that we spent less than £10 per person. It will be the same next week too. We are only buying the milk, cheese, fruit etc essentials at the moment and topping up my store cupboard jars when needed. The £10 per head included wine so we could have done it for much less.
A busy day at work today but other half has been OS all week as he has an extra week's leave to me. I just cook the evening meal and he does the restEnjoying an MSE OS life0 -
Wow you guys are up so early. Took a LOT of effort to get out of bed this morning after my 5 1/2 hour drive back from Glasgow yesterday. Wish I didn't have to go in to work today, but only 2 days to the weekend so I will grit my teeth and hang on till then.
Not much chance to be OS last couple of days since I have been away with work. I did amuse everyone in the Glasgow office though by filling up my thermos flask with tea before I left yesterday. I refuse to pay motorway service station prices!
Penny_Pincher hope you have a lovely time at your sister's.
Have a nice day everyone...

Morning everyone.
Hope you have a good break P-P
Well today was the day I wanted to be at my mum's by 9 am as boys have their last swimming lesson at 11.15 and she has a few jobs need doing. But, wouldn't you know it, for the first time ever, DS2 is still asleep! He needs it as still in his 'won't go to sleep at night' mode. He is in my bed (arrived at 6.10) then crashed again so can't get on in there yet.
Am bringing mum and nephew back to my house after swimming lesson cos after lunch am having my hair cut so need mum's babysitting skills for an hour. Then she's off to visit dad and I shall look after all the kids.
It will be shepherds pie for tea. I have some beef and veg casserole in the fridge, so I'm sure that will be put to good use in it tooOther than that, need to continue the mountain of laundry and sort out holiday clothes. Have to insure car today and sort out holiday insurance too.
Oooh, DS2 awakens so weetabix mountain here we come.
See ya later

Morning my lovelies
Had a sneaky chinese take away lastnight to celebrate OH's birthday (which is today). We only got a chinese as we got back so late from the station and i had a migraine.was yummy, and i have the left overs in a container for my lunch. yummers
Having a HUGE bowl of pasta tonight for tea, with some wine and fresh bread and some truffles and real parmesan( the joys of being an ex chef-friends in the business). He loved his photo-cake i had made for him and as he said he hadnt ever had a cake before, i didnt mind spending the £8.86, its huge too, will feed the 5000.
Got a few people round on saturday night so im going to sit down after lunch and do a bit of a meal plan thing when i know how many people are deffo coming.
Only having nibbles and sausage rolls and what not, whatever i can get cheap.
Also, a must is plastic cups, not trusting my nice* glasses on a gaggle of rowdy 23yr old men!!!
New washing machine arrives on monday so will do another quick sort out tonight to see if we need anything desperately for the weekend, other than our glad rags for sat night.
Will report back later

* nice = branded glasses stolen from pubs, some quite rare, you can tell OH was a true student, and im a bit of a klepto.0 -
Morning all! Been quite OS this week - with the help of the mountain of food in my freezer / cupboards / pantry our monthly food shop at tesco online should only be £56 before vouchers! This includes booze but I am not allowed much due to trying for sproglet soon! Got enough meals to last us all month and then some! Think OH is actually looking forwrad to a mont o fish fingers and sausage and mash he he!
Not much going on OS today - did 30 mins on the exercise bike at home last night and my bottom hasnt quite recored yet! Not sure what is for tea but might be fish in parsley sauce with potatoes and veg - yum!
Anyway best crack on - busy week at work this week - reports coming at me left right and centre!Kirsty, Taunton, xxx0
