Yeah people keep saying but i looked into it and with my current salary and situation i would only be able to get £45k-ish and that will go no-where. One of my friends just got told he can get a 68K mortgage on his salary which is higher than mine and he cant find anywhere - even in garston/speke etc where he lives at the mo. The house prices are just sooo high. The houses in the street im going to that are currently up for sale are 85k+

I didnt think the £425 was so bad as its a really nice house to a high standard, two double bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, brand new bathroom small yard and its in a really quiet little street and in actual view of my workplace (what a view from your bedroom window eh! :rotfl: )

Wouldnt be so bad if i wasnt living on my own... but cant find anyone id wanna live with just yet.

You'll be suprised how much you like having no-one else around - no smelly socks to pick up, clean towels where you left them, no random crisp packets to move from by the computer..... Im jealous! Id love all that space to myself!

The cat has decided to lick the plastic bags though, she is a bit strange, and likes to try and chew plastic bags (the kind bog roll and Next bag kind, she hates sainsburys bags).

Hey! Our cat likes to lick plastic bags, too
Why, I don't know, but I am relieved she is not the only one :rotfl:

So far my only attempt at the OS lifestyle today has been a phone call to the bank to see if I could sweet-talk them into giving me an interest-free overdraft for 10 months. No, I'm going completely mad! On the way in to work I saw that Barclays are offering new customers % on overdrafts for 10 months. Now, if you ring up your mobile phone company and tell them that someone else is offering you a better deal, your phone company usually gives you exactly the same deal if you'll stay with them. So I thought I'd try this out on my bank. Sadly it didn't work :-( But at least I tried!

This evening's OS project is going to be sorting out a couple of books to sell on Amazon. Once I've got a pile ready I shall come back, read Apprentice's thread and wait for the money to roll in!

Nab, could you not punt the overdraft onto an interest free card? Or change banks!

    hello :hello:

great to hear what you are all up to.

Today has been manic - I am running a charity bingo evening tonight and have been runnign around like a mad running around thing :D

I think everything is under control and organised, but I am nervous that people won't come - sold some tickets in advance and so should be OK. ;)

To top it all off, my parents arrived this morning. Lovely to see them, but perhaps more of a hindrance then a help this evening.....although the thought it there. Sound ungrateful now, but I honestly don't mean to.

The good news is that Mum ahs come armed with the breadmaker she is donating to me. I am very excited and plan to make bread as soon as I've made it to the shops for ingredients. :D

    have a good evening everyone...................

    I've been Money Tipped!
You will love the breadmaker r.mac, good ol Mum! My Mum gave me her Kenwood chef with attachments and a steamer and I have her old slow cooker so I think Mums are wonderful :j

Good luck with the charity bingo tonight!
