But the good news is I've accepted an offer today that I'm really happy with. It's finally all over.:j:j:j

Except for the whole finding a new place to live, packing, moving and unpacking.

Glad for you - well done :D

    Now it really starts!

  • Ohhhhh congratulations, I am just coming here to rant, but mainly about our EA. Having to chase them non stop, and we havent had any viewings now for a week and havent got any in for the weekend!

Why cant someone just come and buy my house and put me out of my misery, its really nice!

lol I'm sure it is. :D Fun starts for me next week.

Bumped into a friend of mine who is selling her 3 bed victorian semi, one viewing in 4 weeks! She said there are so many houses similar type same price and cheaper on the market at the moment.

  • My sympathy goes out to everyone selling.

I put mine on the market last September. On the market Friday , one viewing Monday, another Wednesday and an offer in on the Thursday and accepted. House back off the market by Weekend. Although this all happened in less than a week I was so stressed out with the cleaning etc. Felt as though I never had a basin of soapy water too far away. Any more than a week and I think I would have given the house away rather than go through that from day to day.

  • Initially we sold it in the first week, but their buyer pulled out after four weeks or so we were almost ready to exchange contracts, so they couldnt proceed.

So we put our house on market that was almost two weeks ago, had two viewings since. I didnt mind keeping the house tidy, I tidy up every morning, and we are spending every weekend doing trips to the loft, etc just wish I had more viewings!

  • hi there im also i the same position my house has been up for sale for a week now and i have had 10 viewings (but not yet an offer) i will say something selling a house can make you ill, im non stop cleaning ,even some days we dont even eat because someone might just turn up .
on 5 occasions me and me husband have been sitting down chilling out and the estate agents have just turned up with people to view our house even without telling us they were coming.
I didnt even realise this selling a house buisness would be so hard and so stressful , but what also makes me laugh is the fact that a few houses that i have viewed are disgusting the people havent even picked up there dirty washing or hovered a floor but me( and it seems the rest of u) go out of our way to non stop clean to make it look nice.
lets hope all goes well gracie for u!!!

That was the 4th time I had moved, but that was the first time that I had to do it on my own, was really daunting and scary and bl00dy hard work !!

Think I will def stay put for a while now ..... will give it 3/4 years :rotfl:

  • can u sack your estate agents before your sign up time has finished? Our just keeping telling us to reduce the price by 10k then it will sale. I mean what difference is dropping it from 409 to 399 going to make..? I just think they are being lazy and know they can get a quick sale for 399. rather than having to work for it.
