Last year = £15 for 500 mins and 400 txt no problem. After a LOT of calling Retentions, the best I have been offered is 500 min 500 txtx for £20 per month, most phones free, APART from the N80, which is what I want. For that, they want £129.99 for the phone, and after being assertive I got them down to £35 per month line rental, £180 credit on my account, £130 for the handset, working out in a net cost of £31 per month for the tarriff. Still not good enough so I got my PAC code.
Has anyone managed to get a better deal for the N80? The nice lady wanted evidence of better tarriffs and explained they would be flexible but I have to produce evidence of a better tarriff on this handset.
Help... anyone?0 -

I really, really wanted the N80 as well - I phoned retentions last week and I got offered 500 X-net anytime mins (rollover) + 500 texts + Nokia N80 for £49.99, 12 month contract, £15 per month. O2 never had N80s in stock, so they told me to call back. I couldn't wait, so I found an O2 shop which had one in stock, went there, picked it up, paid £49.99 then phoned retentions - they then switched me onto online 500. The N80 is a superb phone I think! :rotfl:0 -

If your allowance states 500 minutes any network rollover then you are not on the Discount 500 tariff.0 -
Hi Matrix, I was wondering if you could answer my earlier question? (reposted below: )matrix999 wrote:I was told I could stay on the same tariff, thats Discount 500 Anytime X Net Mins and 400 Texts for £10 per month.-Zigo wrote:This is what I've been on for the last year, but they were charging me £25pm not £10! How did you manage that?0

Hi
Hi All
I am on cash back redemption deal with Dial a Phone which ended yesterday so my contract was till 27th June.
I upgraded to new deal with O2 and got great deal too but as I check my statement onlne today they started my new contract from yesterday instead of today so now I am worried that I am going to loose my cash back as it may count as break of the deal. I do not know how it works but on the last bill End of 27th June bill its says line rental for 27th June – 27th June 2006 credit of -84p and then line rental from 27th June to 27th July 21.98 which suppose to be saying line rental from 28th June to 27th July. I am very disappointed with the mess now so was wondering will I get my cash back or I lost iti did tell them not to start the contract until the current one finishes.
Please please advise or if anyone has free no for dial – phone customer services.0 -
busymum1 - pasted from the other thread.
As you are still with O2 I would imagine all will be well. Dialaphone paid me my final cashback when I was on the Three network and I upgraded a month early.
Incidentally what deal did you get? I am upgrading my O2 dialaphone contract next week. Thanks.0 -
Thanks for that info, I just managed to get 500 mins and 300 texts from o2 for £20 a month, they offered me £100 credit to my account but I went for a new phone. I've only been with them for 2 years but I'm going to ring them again and see if I can knock them down to £15!0

hello fellow money savers!
i've just got off the phone to o2. i told them i wanted my PAC number as i was thinking about moving to THREE.
They gave me 750 xnet minutes + 350 text messages for £20 a month + a Nokia 6280 3G phone. All video calls are included in the minutes.
This is a FAR better deal than anything I have looked for on VODAPHONE or THREE.
:rotfl:
p.s. when you phone up don't except straight away. phone back a second time and they will up their offer!0 -
