  • OK trying to plan ahead!
my o2 contract (200 xnet) @ £30 pm is due for renewal 1st week in Feb 06.
I generally use about 180-200 mins per month and chargable calls of around £5 pm.
Is it worth using more calls to increase spend on the account for the next 3 months.
The idea is to get o2 retention 500 tarriff at £15 pm. and reduce domestic phone bill even more!

with the bolt on 500 tariff, do you get to keep the money as well as with the normal 300 texts or 100 mins?

    Does anyone know?

    thank you

That would be an idea but O2 do look at other factors on your account for example, Do you pay your bills on time, How long have you been with the network and also what deal you have seen and why you want to leave O2. It is known that if you say that your leaving to go to 3 on the Video Talk 500 tariff they usually give you the Discount 500 tariff, failing that just ask them for it. There usually more than happy to oblige :)

    Help

My neice has been with O2 through The Carphone Warehouse for about two and a half years. Her bills average £80 a month. Her contract ended in October. The new tariffs offered by The Carphone Warehouse are nothing like the offers some appear to be getting from O2 but O2 will not speak to us they insist that we go through The Carphone Warehouse! Any suggestions?

    Yes,

This is always the case with the carphone warehouse as they provide all the billing, customer service etc etc as you bought the phone from their shop/online. The Carphone Warehouse buys airtime from O2 and then sells it onto you so although your with O2 your actually an indirect customer of the network.

My advice to you is ditch your contract with the CPW when it expires and go along to an O2 Shop or http://www.o2.co.uk and buy your new phone there as you will get a better deal and will get bet deals when your contract is up as you will become a direct customer of the network and not have a service provider (CPW) sending your bills and doing your customer service.

  • Hi I was just wondering if you could tell me whether the Discount 500 tariff includes rollover minutes or is it just 500 mins every month and what ever you dont use you just loose. Also was wondering if voice-mail 901 is free too?
    Thanks in advance

  • I have got a deal through O2 retentions reducing my line rental to £10 a month. They said they would give me a free K750i handset too (Which i wanted) but it was out of stock. They keep telling me to call back to check as they should be getting some in, it seems to be available online for new customers though. So what I want to know is has anyone got one on upgrade or new from wednesday last week as I have been told from then it has been out of stock but i'm not convinced. Any help will be much appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Paul
