Ive just been offered:
18 month contract
K850i for free
750 minutes
750 texts
£25 a month.
What do you think of that??? worth getting, or worth ringing back tomorrow and haggling a bit more?0 -
Should I ring retentions and barter with them?
PS. I have been with o2 for 5yrs on contract and 3yrs on PAYG before that.
Yes! I had the same problem so I rang back the following day and spoke to a man who had a different approach to the girl I spoke to first. He was very helpful and got me a deal I was happy with. For info I got:
18 months
Sony K850i Blue Free
250 Xnet Anytime Mins
Unlimited 02 to O2 calls ( a big draw for me as everyone I call is on O2).
500 Texts
1MB Data

I would imagine that this is as good as it can get. If you are happy with it, take it.
Incidentally the K850i is a brilliant phone but VERY easy to scratch. The firmware seems slightly buggy as well but my K800i was the same when I first got that. I am looking forward to the first firmware update.0 -
I see you all mentioning about 1mb per month and this gets me worries as I received a letter confirming my tarriff and it said unlimited browsing and downloading so I've been using my phone to look at internet a hell of a lot.
Have I got it worried am going to be facing a bill for several hundred £?
Help please! :eek:0 -
O2 are now offering unlimited texts on all tariffs above £35-this means that new customers get about 3500 texts a month. So if you are on a discounted tariff (say the discount 500 at 25 quid a month) you should be able to up your texts easily. I at the moment wouldn't settle for less than 1000 texts on any tariff 25 quid a month or above.
Orange do unlimited texts on a £35 a month contract, with 180 quid cashback as well so I'd quote that if you are prepared to pay more than 25 quid a month.0 -

Just be warned that O2 "unlimited browsing" is 200MB or (Ithink) 3GB per month fair use depending on the package. If this has been of any use please click on THANKS, it makes me look good.0 -
Thanks, yes its 3gb per month. Not been given any log-in details so presume I'm going to continue to get paper bills?0

Renewed my contract yesterday for 18 months, got a 'free' w880i (albeit in silver when I wanted black but no biggie) 400min, 1000texts per month for £20/month (discounted from the normal cost of £30/month), an increase of £1.01 on my previous contract where I got a w810i and a miserly 100min, 50texts. My only regret is not pushing them to get a 12 month contract although I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't be possible for this phone.0
