O2 New Retention Tariff Discount 500 / Discount 750

After a month (I kid you not!) of calls back and forth I finally got a deal I'm happy with: 500 mins, 100 texts, 1mb a month for £15 p/m and £100 credit for not taking an upgrade on an 18 month contract. At first I wasn't keen on an 18 month contract but then the way I saw it was that I'm unlikely to get much better for £15 so the longer I can have it the better! Saves me the ordeal of haggling again...

Been with them for 2 and a half years on an old £19 per month contract-which was coming in at £30-40 month. First deal I was offered last night was rubbish so it looked like Pac code time! Rang back this morning and got K850i free ,500 minutes ,500 texts on an 18 month contract for £20 per month-'t will do me alright!

Just rang 100 off my mobile then chose retentions. The slightly hostile woman who I spoke to frankly offered me nothing to stay and then said I would get my PAC code by text and letter!

Is there a better retentions number to call? I am on a O2 offline tariff.

just try again -as I posted above-i didn't get a helpful response the first time. But when I looked back through this thread I found others that hadn't got a result first time either. It's very much luck of the draw who you get on the end of the phone. The lass I spoke to this morning was prepared to be chatty and friendly and after a conversation for a minute or two-she went away to ask her line manager what she could offer-whereas last night .the lass sounded like she couldn't care less-maybe she'd had a crap day,who knows?
But try again is what I'd say-if I 'd left it as it was,I'd've ended up just getting my PAC code in the next day or two.

Called o2 online to renew my contract. Of course selected the option "want to leave o2" and told the guy I want my pac bla bla bla...

But this is the standard deal that new customers get, although you get the web bolt on for free representing a £7.50 a month saving.

Last time I upgraded (18 months ago), I got a K800i, 400 mins, 200 texts for £15 a month.

I will try again tomorrow and see if I can squeeze something out of them, otherwise I will use my PAC when it comes.

These days they are giving unlimited O2 calls, I got unlimited weekend calls to any network... Anybody thinks there is a better deal?
