xman - you are right they now only offer unlimited calls to 02 for new customers - but retentions seem to be able to give the long weekends to keep existing customers.
Personally I'm finding the long weekends to be great value - but if you have a look at this thread, people were getting offered a similar deal to you for less money per month - I got 800 mins, 1000 texts, long weekends calls plus a N95 for £25 pm on a 18 month contract (I think there is some internet allowance as well, but not sure how much). However I was offered this was a month ago when a lot of people were cancelling because of the 0870/0845 change - they might not be so generous now. If you are going to really use the long weekends then it is a good way to go.0 -
After much haggling, I have got 500 mins, 300 txts, 3meg data, 1gb mem card, a bluetooth headset - all for £20 pm for 18 months, no charge for K850!:j0

Does anyone have the offline retentions phone number to hand?0

But this is the standard deal that new customers get, although you get the web bolt on for free representing a £7.50 a month saving.
Last time I upgraded (18 months ago), I got a K800i, 400 mins, 200 texts for £15 a month.
I will try again tomorrow and see if I can squeeze something out of them, otherwise I will use my PAC when it comes.
Hi,
It is a similar to a new deal but I get long weekends, which O2 & CPW do not offer for new customers.
Anyone got a better deal with more emphasis on minutes then texting? 0 -
I rang back and ended up settling for this deal:
250min
500txt's
unlimited 02 to 02 calls
1MB Data
18 months
free sony K850i (unsure of colour)
£25 a month
Almost everyone who I ring is on O2 so the amount of mins is irrelevant.
Of course, I have a 14 day cooling off period in case something else takes my fancy but I am happy with the £25 a month deal. Its only £5 more than I am paying now.0 -

In upgrades, I was originally offered an online 30 tariff of 200 mins,400 tx and 1mb inclusive for £20 for 18 months. After pondering for a day or two over this, realised that a new customer could get the same tariff deal.......so called back, spoke to someone else and changed my tariff (albeit still at £20 pm over 18 mnths) to 400 mins, 1000 tx and 1 meg data. Couple days later, it sank in that I couldn't possibly use 1000 tx so spoke to someone else. I basically put my cards on the table and told them what I really wanted, ie more mins and less texts - but pay the same. So I ended up with 500 mins (the chap mentioned something about a talker tariff) and 100 tx - BUT he threw in the 200 extra texts free. He said that the actual tariff is 500 mins 100 tx for £30 pm but I get £10 discount as a longstanding O2 customer. I tried to ask for more data but the best he could do was via the O2 treats - free 2 meg renewed every 3 months. As for the accessories, they were a mistake! They were included with the earlier tariff of 400 mins and 1000 tx.......but when these items did not arrive with the phone, I called O2 who said I should not be getting them in the first place as I was getting a good deal already. I said that was missing the point - I hadn't asked for the items in the first place, they were offered and I had accepted. And after O2 had listened to the recorded conversation, they duly sent me the items.0
