O2 New Retention Tariff Discount 500 / Discount 750

hi,
I'm still apying the £35 a month line rental, could I have done betteR? I guess it's too late now I've agreed and the phone will be delivered next week?
I think you get 14 days to change your mind, however you have to weigh up the potential hassle of returning the phone and then hoping they will give you a better retention deal - it is a bit of a gamble with retentions. Sometimes they will give you your PAC and call your bluff, unless you are happy to go elsewhere that tactic could backfire.
Just comparing it to what some of us have got makes me think they could have been a bit more generous - but look at it this way - you got a definite improvement on the tariff you were on before, you are getting more minutes and texts for the same amount, plus you got the phone you wanted for free on a 12 month contract so not a bad deal all round. :beer:0 -
how did you get that deal?
are you with O2 direct or Carphone warehouse O2??
as i just phoned cpw o2 and asked for a pac code and the deals they offered me were rubbish
also did you get the representatives name?
thanks
I am with o2 directly and the person I spoke to was Michelle in disconnections on 01226784068.
Good luck. :beer:True Friends Are Hard To Find, Harder To Leave And Impossible To Forget.0 -

My Contract was up so I contacted 02 and did the usual "I want to give my 30 day notice, when will I get my pac code".
I was asked what phone deal I was going for - I said either the w880i or N95.
They first offered me the w880i 750 mins/750 text for £25 p/m (18 Month Contract) If I wanted the N95 I would have to pay £199.99 for it.
No Dice says I, I'm off to Three!
Phoned back in the afternoon explained that the man in the Three Shop had offered me N95 18 month, 700 mins/text Plus free TV and Internet bolt ons for £33. And I had seen a deal on Mobile to your door for a N95 on O2 for 21.81 p/m on a 12 month contact (300 mins 400 text).
Right says they! N95 Free, 12 month contract, 400 mins, 500 text £20 per month.
I'll call back in the Morning says I!
I called back and was offered Free N95, 600 mins, 1000 text, Long Weekend, 4mb web use plus insurance for £25 for the first 12 months the £35 for the reminding 6 Months if I decide not to upgrade at 15 Months (18 Month Contract).
Right Says I! You have a deal!
Seeing that I was paying £35 p/m for 400/500 and insurance I liked it)
Logged onto my account on O2 had they have fluffed my new contract!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
They have done this every time I upgrade, five times now. I have not got the correct discount, they have not added the correct freebies.
I called up to cancel and was ping ponged all over the place because the new phone has not been delivered yet.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:0 -

and the upgrade deals they've offered me are pathetic
i asked for my pac code and they said you have to write to some address in SOUTHAMPTON and let them know
i then re-called them a couple of hours later and then spoke to a different person and they offered me the same rubbish deals then i asked for PAC and they said i have to write in

Hi everyone,
I'm currently on 750/750 (18 mth deal) with O2 paying £35 p/month, my bills are usually £40+ a month, am due for an upgrade 2morrow, what sort of deal can I go for? I really want a N95 & a 12 mth contract, any ideas?

my phone's still not arrived, they told me it would be here today, rang them asking fro a tracking number and they told me it was sent via Royal Mail. That annoyed me as it was never going to arrive today based upon the fact I ordered it on Thursday!!0

I've been with O2 for 4-5 years on an old online tariff which gives me 50 xmins and 500 texts for £19 per month - the only extra I end up paying is for web access, £10-£30 per month.
Called O2 last week for an upgrade to the K850i and the "web" bolt-on - I was told this would be a free upgrade on my current tariff but I'd have to call back this week to place the order. I called back yesterday and the advisor had a few problems placing the order - just to check, I called back an hour later to find that my upgrade had been put through for a W580 not a K850 and the web bolt-on was not available on my existing tariff. I was then offered an "upgrade" from my £19 per month 12-month contract to a £25 18-month contract !; told them to cancel the upgrade while I look for a better deal.
I've just called them back to see if they'll give me any sort of retention deal - ideally what they already offered me last week, or something similar to one of the "3" tariffs. Not in the slightest bit interested, they just offered to send me a PAC code so I can move to "3".
Are O2 no longer interested in retaining customers ? I've no complaints until now.0
