Been with o2 for 5 years now and they have always been really good to me, i upgraded my phone 4 months ago and so when i e-mailed them to see if i could help they said they cant do anything until after January 2008. Is it worth giving them a ring? as really need the money.
Thanks
you can drop to the lowest tariff after 30 days, but tou will have to fulfill your contract. 19 quid a month is better than 50 though!0 -
hi. Have just tried to get an upgrade on my daughters O2 contract. She's on the 500/500 mins, txts for £20 (last years deal). She wanted the new Nokia 8600 and at first they said that they could not do the same deal. I asked for retentions and after a bit of discussion they offererd the same deal, but with no new phone but £75 credit. I said i'd think about and call back. Tried a few days later for a Samsung U600 and no credit. Still no deal. Any advise or do you think this is the best I'm going to get? Thanks for any help.Nice to save.0

I'm going abroad for a year, but wanted to keep up my loyalty so that I could work the retentions dept when I get back. Negotiated a deal of 50mins and 200 texts per month for £10pm with £100 credit, so technically £20 for the whole year! Happy days.0

Yes, you can cancel as you have a 14 day cooling off period when upgrading.

Any body got any ideas or advise on this please as I need to call them back soon. ThanksNice to save.0 -
Try and set out a reasonable deal in your head and stick to it- if they refuse then simply just keep ringing up, I would say around 500 minutes and 750 texts for £20 is reasonable enough, the U600 is an awful phone though by the way. If you keep ringing up then they eventually give in- especially if you keep reminding them how many times you have rang up previously.0

I'm coming to the end of my contract (500mins/ 500 txts - £20), and just rang up retentions. Im after the n95, but she wouldnt even better their own deal on the website. When I asked about a refurb instead, she claimed they dont do refurbs, even though it is on their website! She tried to say how much of a good deal I was getting becauase she was offering me the same deal as a new customer. Anyone had any better luck when coming from the Discount 500 tariff?0
