O2 New Retention Tariff Discount 500 / Discount 750

got Nokia E65 free, 500 minutes any time, 12 month contract and£25 pm,
i think is better retention deal in the current situation.0 -
Currently on Discount 500 - 500 mins / 200 texts, 12 months for £17.50 per month. Had new phone and bluetooth headset.
Today is the first day I could 'upgrade'. Was only offered the 30 day tarriffs as anything close to what I am paying at the moment, £20 p/m and no new phone.
Someone said O2 change their tarriffs quarterly, is it worth me waiting until they change again or look elsewhere ?
I don't fancy T-mobile as most of the time I find their coverage rubbish. Orange seems a bit expensive for my needs, so maybe Vodafone ?Never buy a stupid dwarf -

Hi all, only ever had 12 month contracts with o2, had 6 of them now, nearing the end. Last year agreed to cut my contract to a minimum, not have a new phone.
So i have - 500 texts and 200 mins anytime for £15 a month, and i got £100 credit too.
This year i need a new phone, not fussy the nokia 6300 looks fine and is free.
Questions:
1) Will i be able to keep my same contract i assume i can, its fine for my needs.
2) Do you think i can negotiate for the phone for free and the £100 credit if i agree to an 18month contract?0 -
benbfc-thats pretty much what I got when i upgraded last week-a nokia 6300 on the same tariff that i was on (750 mins and 750 texts).
Its an 18 month contract and will be getting £100 cashback.
I got discounted line rental too (for 12 months-£20-remaining 6 months £35 but can upgrade in 15th month)
I wanted to continue my tariff as i get the rollover mins and 0845/0870 numbers are included in my allowance.

anyone any advice for me?
cheers:beer:0 -
at the moment I'm on the online 750 (750 mins/750 texts £35pm), ideally I want the N95 but don't want to pay extra for it as in the last 4 months I've spent nearly £400 on bills and always above £50 previously.
If that £100 cashback thing is true then I'd not mind getting the K810i and the cashback but is that too greedy?
What do you guys reckon?
BB,
I was not offered much... my tariff was 500"/500sms and like you my average bill is £60
I was offered to 12 months (500"/500sms) for £35 and £100 credit only if I do NOT get a new phone... Which did not make sense since the Simplicity tariff is £25 for 600"/1000sms!!!
The k810 is free on all tariffs, just give them a call I am just not sure you will also get the £100 credit. If the advisor is Darrel, just hang up and try again...

Cheers, I've emailed the guy that was linked earlier in the thread so will await his reply...:beer:0

Just done the maths and my average bill is £77, an amount of £1300 over the last 17 months. That's just scary.
Hopefully I'll get a good deal when I call up next week...:beer:0 -
Does anyone know what are terms for cancelling the upgrade contract, under the 14-day peace of mind.
My current contract was ending Aug 2nd and I upgraded for another 12 mths on July 3rd. However N73 they sent me, never reached me. Parceline/O2 are still investigation.
Does the 14-day start when I receive the phone (or) day I upgraded my contract?.
Parceline have got back saying that they delivered the N73 box via the Letter box opening. I said them there is no way the N73 box will get into the Letter box opening. Parceline say, that is what the delivery person as mentioned and gave no more details and asked me to contact O2 directly. I will do that today.
Does anyone think I can now ask for K810i, does it stand in same scale as N73 in terms of O2 offers?. Initially I was offered either N73 or W880i for free.0 -
Hi. OK. My 1st years contract with o2 started end of sept 2005. So I upgraded and got a much better deal in my 2nd year, but got my upgrade early at end of august. So when I come to upgrade for my 3rd year, do I ring up 30 days before end of aug or sept?
ALSO. I am eagerly awaiting the new Iphone and wondered if o2 would give me that as a 'pre-order' upgrade ? Or is it too pricey for an upgrade?
if they don't give it me I'll cancel cos I'm only interested in the iphone and don't wanna be paying much more than £20 a month cos I only really use texts and I can get 300 texts for £10 a month pay and go with o2.0
