O2 New Retention Tariff Discount 500 / Discount 750
Comments

I spoke with retentions today with regards a Nokia N95. Their offer was that I pay £50 per month AND give them £89.
I thanked them and asked for my PAC. It's a shame that Orange are currently out of stock but I have 30 days for them to restock.......
Good to see O2 trying to keep it's customer base0 -

When this thread was started 2 years ago (almost to the day) there were clearly some excellent deals being offered by O2, however given my (and others who have posted here's) experiences it doesn't look like they're that bothered about keeping current customers.
This time last year we took out 2 x £30 contracts with O2 (wife also had a £5 bolt on) but despite all the 'you're very valued customers' rhetoric we've been offered nothing worth staying for.0 -
My O2 upgrade saga!
March
I upgraded to 600 xnet anytime minutes and 900 texts for £35 per month, minus a 20% loyalty reward, making it £28 per month on an 18 month contract. Later in the month I spoke to customer services reference data bolt-on’s and was advised there was a Data 75MB bolt-on for £21.74 per month. I added that.
April
The data bolt-on and loyalty reward were not showing on my bill and I had lots of data charges. I rang customer services and was advised that Data 75MB was no longer in use for personal customers and that I had been misinformed. I was advised that I could add Data 36MB to my account at £14.50 (ex VAT) per month which I did, and was told that I would be credited with the data usage I had been billed for as a goodwill gesture.
May
The reimbursed data costs were applied to my bill as promised. However my bill had a 400 text bolt-on showing, and no loyalty reward. I was advised that my tariff had been messed up and the text bolt-on would be removed, the cost reimbursed on my next bill, and the loyalty reward added.
June
I called customer services again as the loyalty reward had still not been applied (it actually was showing on the bill, but for a value of £0.00) and was told it would be reapplied on my next bill.
July
Customer services called me and advised that the loyalty reward had not worked again for some reason. They have however added it manually, backdated to April. This is showing on my in-month usage so I know it’s been done. However customer services now need to talk to the IT department to find out if the loyalty reward is incompatible with my tariff. If it is incompatible they say I will need to change to a different tariff of similar cost and giving me similar mins and texts.
Where do I stand if the proposed tariff change costs me more a month, or gives me less mins and texts? Has anyone else experienced this much of an issue? My last correct bill was back in March, and although corrections and reimbursements are carried out, something else always seems to need fixing! Customer services are always friendly and helpful but it's a big hassle!!
If this has been of any use please click on THANKS, it makes me look good.0 -
Oh yes, if anyone on O2 is interested in data.
I emailed customer services about any upcoming changes to data bolt-ons in light of t-mobile, 3, vodafone, and orange all offering 1GB/unlimited data for under a tenner a month. The answer was that O2 have no plans at the present time to launch new data bolt-ons.
I asked the same thing when I was last on the phone to customer services, and was again informed that they had no plans at the moment, but if everyone else was doing it then they would have to do something at some point. The guy seemed unware of what the competion is offering. If this has been of any use please click on THANKS, it makes me look good.0 -
