O2 New Retention Tariff Discount 500 / Discount 750

Called today (contract's up at the end of the month) and was offered:
Without new handset
Me: 250/100 for £30 pm - £100 + £75 credit on account = £15.32 pm
Wife: 200/400 for £20 pm + £75 credit on account = £13.75 pm
With handsets we wanted
Me: Samsung D900i - 250/100 for £30 pm - 20% = £24.00 pm
Wife: Samsung U600 - 200/400 for £30 pm - £30 (£10 x 3 months) = £27.50 pm
We are both currently on a 250/100 deal with 100% cashback via Mobileshop (all received so far) so I can't say I'm that impressed with what was offered this time around...
Phoned again today, but they wouldn't budge. Disappointed really as I liked O2... nevermind.
Then I thought I'd try localshop's approach and phone the retailer I had this deal through last year. Mobileshop's reply was '"we don't do any good retention deals, you're better off cancelling and taking out a new contract!"
Looks like it's PAC for me then...0 -
I saw my online bundles today, after upgrading (Discount 250 tariff) on 3rd.
It shows
Allocation Description Start Date Allocation Remaining Expiry Date
250 Anytime Xnet Minutes 04 July 2007 246:43 229:21 02 August 2007
Looking at the expiry date, it doesn't seem 1 month rollover is available for Discount 250. I also haven't got any text messages in the bundle information. I was told I will get 100 txts.
Please can anyone confirm what is in Discount 250??0 -
i was told no text messages with these tariffs?
do u use accountmanagement to view ur bill?Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -
Hi guys
I've been reading this thread again recently with interest - my contract up again.
Last year after reading got 500 xmins & 500 txts with ITS and free voice mail for £20 (£35 - £15).
This year they said they couldn't touch it.
Finally got offered same package for £28 (£35 - 20%). This means I keep ITS , free voicemail and rollover benefits. Nokia 6300 on 12 month tariff.
The guy also signed me up for My Europe. Apparently there will be now charge for receiving a call while in Spain. Anyone else heard of this?
Ta.

Called O2 today (my contract ends on Aug 2nd) and I was transferred to retention and I was offered N73 ME for £15/mth with 250 mins and 100 txts with free voicemail and 1 month rollover. I can't believe I got everything I wanted and so I accepted it.
Please can anyone confirm if there is such a tariff, as I am not able to find that in O2 Online.
O2 retentions are driving me crazy. Each day I call up thy provide different information on my tariff.
I called up today and they mention I have been put in O2 250 + 100 plan, which gives
250 mins (Rollover)
100 txts (Rollover) + 100 promo texts (No Rollover)
Free Voicemail
£35/mth and 12 mths half price.
Does anyone know if the above tariff actually exists??0 -
Phone 02 again and still no joy, I then emailed Peter Erskine as someone recommended but had no reply (this was Wednesday). As Orange are now offering the N95 free on a £35 contract I thought I would give 02 one last go, but no joy. All they could offer my was a sim only deal for £20 which includes 400 mins and 500 texts, said I would think about it (not). Nothing else I can do0
