O2 New Retention Tariff Discount 500 / Discount 750

I was today offered, without any bargain, W880i or N73 free and £25/mth for 12 months with 500 mins and no txts.
I got 500 mins and 100 txts last time for £17.50/mth for 12 mths with w810i for free.
Does anyone think I could get a better offer this time. I would prefer N73, £15/mth and atleast 200 mins/50txts.
Called O2 today (my contract ends on Aug 2nd) and I was transferred to retention and I was offered N73 ME for £15/mth with 250 mins and 100 txts with free voicemail and 1 month rollover. I can't believe I got everything I wanted and so I accepted it.
Please can anyone confirm if there is such a tariff, as I am not able to find that in O2 Online.0 -
they offer different tariffs over the phone than online and then different again in storeWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0

I am so frustrated with 02! I have lost count how many times I have phoned them, just got off the phone again and was told I could have the N95 free on £35 contract, I asked if I could have any other discount and he put me through to a really arrogant woman who said I would have to pay £89.95 for the phone and he had told me wrong, wouldn't budge so asked for a PAC code and said I would go to Vodafone, I then asked for a PAC code for my other phone and she said they would send them through ASAP. I have spent a fortune with 02 and think the Customer Service has gone down the pan! So much for being a 'Select' customer!
I asked about the discount 500 tariff and was told that it only gave you 200 mins with no texts. I think they make it up as they go along!0 -
You should have said its called discount 500 for a reason luv! Its def 500 mins but no texts, I got added them as a loyalty bonusWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0

I see lots of MSE's are having problems with O2, some not so bad though.
Ok, just to clear something up. When you speak to O2 Retentions ( Not CPW Retentions ) they have a pot of money to save you from disconnecting fom the network. Depending on your monthly spend, how long you have been with O2 etc etc will depend on how much the advisor has to keep you from leaving.
Some advisors will go the extra mile to retain you others will simply just apply what they can based on the spend they have. I honestly wouldsay that if you keep trying you will get someone who will want to keep you.
The staff in retentions that I have spoke to are great, very professional, polite and would always go the extra mile. If they can give you a discount they will apply it to your account.
The Discount 500 tariff is still around, 500 Anytime X Net Mins / No Texts although some advisors will give you a bolt on of 400 Free Texts as a loyalty reward if you ask them nicely.

I might give them another try tomorrow. I have never had any problems before with 02, which is why I wanted to stay with them. I have been with 02 for about 6/7 years and usually spend about £40-50 p/m x 2 phones (although this months bill has just come in at £250 - used it on holiday!) Thanks to you all for your advice.0

If you don't have any luck the next time you call, send an e-mail to Peter Erskine. He is the Chief Executive Officer for O2 and his team of Senior Customer Relation Advisors might be able to put something together for you.
Just a short e-mail describing what you have been offered by Retentions, in the e-mail state that you feel that your custom and loyalty to the network could be better rewarded and tell them what you would like as a Retention Deal..... Be realistic thoughTell them that you have recommended friends/family to O2 and that you have never had any problems with the network and have always found the service and network coverage to be excellent/

Theyre not as good as they used to be. In all the years ive been with them ive always had half price line rental and a free message bolt on when ive upgraded yet this yr they dont seem to care about keeping your custom
There also the most expensive network around i find especially for data, 8mb for £13!!!!! Orange do 30mb for £8 and vodafone 150MB FOR £7.50!!!!! Also dont do very good tariffs, personally i dont think u can beat orange or vodafones 500 mins n unlimited texts for £35 a mth. O2 wud give u 500 mins n 500 txts for that
MMMMMM, why am i staying with o2 :eek:Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -

£35 per month with O2 would give you:
600 Anytime X Net Mins
1000 Texts
Free Calls or Texts Sat/Sun/Mon or Free Unlimited O2-O2 Calls
They would also apply a 20% loyalty discount to the price if you were speaking to Retentions, so £28.00 per month0 -
I have emailed peter erkstine and mentioned how annoying it is that their data charges are so high compared to their competitors and how im still within my cooling off period and am strongly considering changing to vodafone as this will save me a lot of money. with o2 im spending on average £25-£30 mth on data charges. with odafones packate at £7.50 i would save a small fortuneWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0
