Yes it is a 12 month contract but to get the offer you need to send in cashback vouchers. Im not sure if the U600 is any good but it does look nice and is the one !!!!!! is after.

Also do not forget to go through Quidco when ordering your new phone as i got an extra £30 for doing thid bring my monthly tariff down to less than £6.50! This was for an LG KE970 on a T-Mobile Flext 35 tariff.

go for more!!! i've had nokia 3250 for the last year. i paid £15 for 200xnet mins and 500 mins. if you don't ask, u don't get. U gotta make them work to keep your custom. :j

I wasn't bothered how many minutes I was offered as long as it was above 100 anytime with at least 200 texts.

However I did want the W880i which is expensive.

O2 really thought I was leaving and offered some great deals (called several times) with loads and loads of minutes and texts, however in the end they just wouldn't go under £30/month without charging me £60 for the phone. So I did cancel.

I got the phone free on Vodafone on £18 month at £22.50 average with 200xnet minutes and 500 texts... perfect for me.

How it works is it's £13.50 for 1st 6 months then £27 after that for 1 year, averages out at £22.50 which is just fine. O2 just couldn't give me what I wanted in the end!

dont forget you can downgrade your tarrif after 9 months with voda bringing down your costs further...although you would get fewer mins/textx

I just rang O2 retentions as I'm due an upgrade and wanted to see what was on offer. I was told that they are bringing out some new tariffs on the 27th or 28th April, supposedly they are really good. The O2 guy said he wasn't meant to tell anyone about the new tariffs and wouldn't divulge any specific details.

Has anyone else been told this? Or have any further information?

Just thought I would share my experiences after a friend pointed me to this forum!

My contract runs out on the 18th of next month, so I gave o2 a call this afternoon - the best the first lady could offer me was:

600 anytime minutes, 1,000 texts and an extra 2,000 minutes a month to use at the weekends (o2 long weekends) with a free Sony Ericsson k800i and an iPod shuffle, on an 18 month tariff for £30 for the first 12 months, and £35 for the remaining six months.

Deliberated over it for a while, rang back and spoke to another lady who credited my account with £35 as well as the above, so I effectively got a month free.

Satisfied customer - couldn't be doing with the hassle of switching networks, and she agreed to deliver the phone to my university address which is different to my debit card/account billing address.

I have an 18 month on line contract with o2. which i took out in 17th December 05 when can i upgrade ? i though i could ring just before 17th may but when i tried this before on my daughters upgrade last year they said i needed to have the phone for the full contract before contacting them ( ie 17 june ) are they right . hope this makes sense.i pay £19 per month thats for 100 mins and 300 texts. def need more texts ( maybe 500 or 750 although 100 min are fine and would like lg prada or lg shine....am i being optimistic.....??? oh would still like to pay undr £20 per month

Hello all,

Just rang o2 asking for my PAC and got put through to retentions.

I wanted unlimited internet so said i was going to T-mobile but she said that there are some new internet tariffs appearing for online customers tomorrow. The best she said was unlimited for £10 which is a bit more than T-mobile (7.50)

Finally she offered me 250 mins and 500 texts for £20 but also said that the way there system works to ring up on the day when i am eligible for upgrade and they will have alot more offers and probably much better than the one I've been offered.

I also mentioned the Discount 500 and she said that it was now 500 mins and 100 txt? I mentioned some of my friends had 500 mins and 500 texts and she said thats no longer on and they must have some sort of discount?
