I am currently on 500xnet and 500 texts for £25p/m, called today to upgrade but wasnt getting a great deal offered. Best I could get was

    (1) 400xnet mins & 750texts for £30p/m with either free W880i or N95 at £89

    (2) 600 xnet mins & 1000 texts with o2 long weekends for £35p/m with W880i free or N95 at £89.

Any suggestions as to what I could get or should try?
  • Ive just had to drop O2.

They wanted to charge me an extra fiver a month, extend my contract by 6 months and wont give me a k800i. so im off to T-Mobile.

the tarrif is £15 a month and they'll gimme a K800i for free.

Its simple economics, i told em if they couldnt match the deal i was offski.

whats the tariff on t mobile called?
  • I spoke with O2 retentions today, and they were really helpful I thought.

I'm with O2 Online and they maintained the deal they gave me last year, which is the Online 200 tariff - 200 anytime minutes and 300 texts (I think!) for £15 a month, with a free W610i as well.

The only downside is that it had to be an 18 month contract. They couldn't / wouldn't shift on that point unfortunately.

I have been offered 200 anytime minutes plus 100 texts for £25/month with £200 cashback (have to send in the bills to get it though). This gets me a SE K800i for an 18 month contract.

This is through Carphone Warehouse, is there any mileage in talking to O2 directly to see if they can better it or are O2 and CW the same these days?.

At the moment I have a K750i on O2 and am a bit loathed to get a K800i which will need a new memory card (CW offered me 1Gb for £20).
Hark at you going all strict :D
  • The T-mobile Deal is the FLEXT 20 which offers 25% off making it £15.

Theyve recently cut the charges on their mobile phones as the k800i was £19.99 last week and its free now

They are playing hard ball this year aren't they? Just called up now and was offered 500 mins and 500 texts for £25, so the same price I'm paying now but for 100 less texts (deal I got when I upgraded last year). I said no thanks and she said "okay, your pac will be with you in 1-2 days".

So I'll be moving to t-mobile once my pac arrives.

I asked for the 6300, which is free on all tariffs.

I'm kind of tempted to phone back and ask to be put on the online 35 texter, just to save myself the hassle of having to move. Plus then I'll get the long weekends. I was looking for an 18 month contract this time anyway.

I think I'm just annoyed that they didn't even try to offer anything decent.

  • Hi

My daughter has a contract with T mobile, which has proved to be a bit of a nightmare. Do you know if 02 take over contracts or would she have to wait till the contract ends its costing me a fortune.
