Just a thought, I renewed/upgraded about 3 weeks ago to Discount 500, 500mins/500 texts £25. I was on 12 month contract, had been for two years. Just reading this through now and everyones mentioning 18month contracts. I wouldn't have been moved to 18 months would I? The lady never mentioned anything about it and I assume they would have to tell me? just worried I may have been put on 18 months on the sly?!0

I phoned last night. I'm currently on 250mins and 150txts with Nokia 3250 for £35 (12months) which i got through Mobileshop.
Last night they offered me the Online talker 25 (250mins and 150txts) for £20 (18months) and a Sony Ericsson W880i for free instead of £59.99.
Do you think i can go for more, or would i e pushing my luck?
Cheers0 -
Not too bad, I found that by speaking to different people on different days you eventually get the deal you are after.
Best deals i was offered were
600xnet mins 1000 texts and long weekends for £35p/m
400xnet mins 750 texts for £30p/m
500xnet mins 500 texts for £25p/m
All offered with w880i free or N95 at £89. Not really shifting on N95 price for contracts under £50p/m. Hope this helps
Last night one of my friends whose on o2 got really annoyed with staff so he called me and i spoke with retentions department some chinese lady she was sweet but i really layed into her for not giving us good offers cos i spoke on behalf of my friend with his permission and first they only n95 for 99 on £35 a month contract and said will only get phone for free if on £50 contract
she then said will give discounted line rental at £28 for o2 long weekends but phone would be £200 no point i still complained i asked for her manager but manager wouldnt speak so i said want to speak to her manager's manager
about this situation cos i got really peed off was on the phone for 35 mins with them and after several holds on the phone they obliged to my wish
N95 free on £35 a month contract long weekend
Moral of the story be persitant aggresive ask for the PAC code ask for managers name and do whatever it takes also try using an example
like say your cousin has that deal and he is sitting next to you if you want to check their account and anything you can it can be done best of luck guys0 -
seems like everyone is pushing to get the n95 but every one i know whos had one says they craclkle, spoke to someone at 02 and they said they getting alot returned so may be there be loads of refurbished ones out there soon for free on better deals....
i took the 500m cross, 400 txs, free voice mail, 12 months contract and new w610i.....£25
cheers en x0 -
Has no one had the new Samsung U600 yet? If so, has it been any good?0

Right, it's upgrade time for me, I'm currently on 200 mins 500 texts for £15 per month and want to keep this tariff, just rang and was told it's going up to £30!? I also have another phone with them on a £35 per month tariff for my boyfriend - cheeky swines!
What do you reckon? Call retentions? I want to Samsung U600........ anyone know of any good deals elsewhere on this? I'm not paying double what I've paid all year for that with 02!0 -
Hi !!!!!!. I am in the same situation. I am on 500 minutes and 120 texts for 17.50 with which will shoot up to £35 next month. I tried to negotiate a good deal but they say they are now longer doing any half price line rentals so the lowest line rental is £15 with hardly any minutes/texts and a rubbish phone.
I am currently looking on http://www.reestitmutton.co.uk which is a fantastic website showing all the latest deals. I am looking at getting a 12 month contract free with redemption vouchers. Unfortunately the phones are not the lastest, and the U600 is not included, but they still do good deals. I am also noticing that o2's deals are very poor in comparison to other phone companies! Thius is such a shame as i have received such good service from them I want to stay but I need to consider the costs each month as well!Salmon0 -
There is a Samsung U600 offer:

it works out at under £9 a monthSalmon0 -
i rang up o2 twice today.
First call offered: sony ericcson w880i for £59.99
£15 a month: 250xnet mins and 500 texts
12 month contract
second call: sony ericsson k800i for free
£15 a month: 200xnet mins and 500 texts
18 month contract
i think what u get varies hugely depending on who u speak to. no offence to the second guy, he sounded a little bit thick. i got passed onto him thru someone else and that person told me the k800i would probably be cheaper that w880i, which it was. but less mins and longer contract. NO WAY!!
i just called o2 for the third time today asking about the samsung u600. the lady quoted me £59.99 for phone and was able to offer 500 mins, 150 txts for £20. 18 month contract. choices choices...........0 -
