just call again you'll probly get someone else.
Ive called twice now and the process has now become a QUEST.
Im gonna grind em down until i get what i want.

They wanna switch me to and 18 month contract and charge me an extra fiver a month. (thats an extra £90) for the k800i.

T-Mob flext will let me have the phone for 19.99 although i have to switch to an 18 month deal....still its £60 less. and as long as the cash is in my pocket and not theirs, thats what counts

O2 wouldn't give me anything either - I wanted the K800i and mentioned the T-Mobile flext tariff to them and they couldn't offer me anything close to that.
I ended up moving to T-Mobile - I signed up last week in store (£15pm 18 month contract) and they did not charge me the £20 as listed online, still got the 1gb memory card for free and got given a free SE bluetooth headset worth £35 if I took insurance out with them which can be cancelled at any time, which I will cancel shortly.
All in all I was reasonably happy with that.

O2 don't seem to be offering very good deals at the moment. Called them yesterday to renew one of my contracts, was getting 50min and 200 txt for £19pm, this is the first renewal and the best I could get was 125min and 300 txt for £20pm, not too bad, but last september I got 500min and 500txt for £20 and a free phone, this time I had to pay for phone (well actually I didnt as I had a letter for head office giving me a free phone due to a mess up by them, but I did not tell them that whilst negotiating the new contract). I hpe I get better deal when my other contract is due in September. (both are on 12 month contracts only)

The best O2 seem to be offering me for an N95 is:

    £28 Per Month
    600 Calls
    400 Texts
    £129.99 for the Phone

Any ideas how to get this better, seeing what offers some others on here have recived? I have tried all of the PAC code ideas etc....

That is an ok deal but the question is have any of you spent atleast £40 a month on average over the last 6 months?

They wont look at your yearly bill just your last 6 months

Only thing i can advise is try telling them that someone from outbound sales called you and left you with an offer and that you want to take up that offer i dont know if it will work but the person i spoke to on outbound was nicola i prompted her to aske her manager to sort it out for me to get the phone free and was fortunate to do so

Only other thing I could suggest is you could buy one of the phones i purchased from o2 via ebay

im selling it because my mrs finds it too bulky she prefers the smaller models like the samsung d600 and the k800
  • hi there. flippin hell i think i just got conned. was on o2 discount 500...£15/m 500xnet an 500txt. they removed my texts a few months ago saying that it was promotional only and it only lasted for a year and that my year was up.

i rung up and was put through to retentions, i told them the usual about three offering a better deal.

he offered me 500xnet mins and 500texts for £25/m and the new nokia n95 for £99.99. i took the deal but i think im starting to regret it. i have 14days to return it though. what do you guys think?

To be honest 25 quid a month for 500 minutes and texts is about the deal that everyone should aim for on here- 15 quid for that deal is clearly unsustainable because of the costs of sourcing the minutes.

The question arises are you using your 500 minutes every min if you say more or less i would advise you to upgrade to long weekend for 18months (You can upgrade after 15months) and if you are select customer then you will get 20%discount and the phone cheaper.

If you found this all usefull dont forget to thanks me.

  • with respect to my last post.... well, i have 14 days to try it out and if i dont like it i can send it back etc. do u think if i call up retentions during the 14day trial period and ask them for my pac they will go any lower or will they tell me to get on my bike lol. would like line rental to come to £15 ideally or £20, do u think if i tell em to knock off 200 or 300 texts from my 500 texts they might do that?

The best O2 can do are the option I mention or if I do not require handset I can pay 15 per month on O2 250 tariff and 75 pounds credit equal to 8.75 on 12 month contract.

Finally I take the phone cause I can still dial 0800 0845 from the inclusive minutes
