going to ring them tomorrow - 21st and see what happens.

For £20 a month...i reckon they should give you 500min and 500sms atleast.

I was on 500mins for £10 a mth last year with no fone (£100 credit instead) and didnt go over my allowance once...so would think i owuldnt be offerec much...but was offered £20 for 500mins 500sms on 18mth contract with their long weekend thing. Over all i spent only £22 in 12months...and got this retention deal.

All depends if ur happy what u bin offered.

    Hi

Last year i got offered a credit on my bill and basically kept old phone which is fine and got 25 mins p/m f.o.c.

This suited me fine as i dont use phone except for emergencies and saved the hassle of a sim (albeit free so hassle i'll handle if its going to cost ;)

Has anyone got any free deals this year and what can i ask for? Grateful for help as i get tongue tied lol Otherwise its back onto PAYG

    Thanks

Have you thought about going down the cashback route? It will end up costing you nothing for a year (if you don't go over your inclusive allowance) and possibly being paid to do so (provided that you sent in ALL your claims on time and received ALL the payments).

Thanks HIBS :) I did cashback for my last mobile 2 years ago. Although i got 6 months free i did pay for the rest of the contract which i didnt mind as i used the phone as a landline and the phone (SE KS750i) was what i wanted and i needed a new phone so this way it cost less than buying it PAYG.

Are there any really guaranteed cashbacks that cost nothing? i'm happy with my phone but a new one would be cool.

Any help and advice would be fantastic :D

    Thank You

    Ive done 3 cashback deals.

Mobileshop, Onestopphoneshop and E2Save. All have gone smoothly though I think Mobileshop has the edge as they keep you informed about your cashback progress by text and pay the cashback straight into your account.

As long as you stick to each company's terms you should be ok.

    Hi All

Anyone know where I can register for free SMS to be sent from my mobile? Have found plenty sites where texts can be sent from PC, but no truly free sites for mobiles. Thanx a bunch

Am I worth nothing to O2?!?!

I rang them today through the normal customer service number 0870 6007102 and they were pretty hopeless. I was on online 50 last year £20/month for 500 text and 50 mins. A year ago I got this down to £15 month.

Its now been another year and I really need a new phone, and I want a pretty decent one (SE K800i). Now bare in mind this has been out for a while and isn't "cutting edge". So I rang up first time they said I can have it but my line rental would revert to £20 month....

I then find I can get it from dial-a-phone on T-Mobile Flex for £15 month (after cashback). Si I rang O2 armed with this and asked for my PAC code. She asked me why I was leaving and exlained I could stay with them for £20 month and get 75mins and 75 texts! I tried telling her thats worse than what I have now! Then she said Ok, Ill send you your PAC code and that was that.

I appreciate at £15 month I'm hardly a great moneymaker for them, but is that it? Last year when I rang they had to put me through to another department for Cancellations/Retentions, but this time it was the same lady all the way through. (Do o2 have Asian call bentres btw, sounded like it?)

Anyway, any advice, or should I take it as O2 clearly don't see me as worthwhile anymore? To be honest I like their service and would prefer to stay than go in with T-Mobile...

So anything else I can do or is that it? Any advice thanks
