Thanks Rev, but the Customer Relations Dept is infact the Retentions Dept...

No! The Customer Relations Dept are a small team based in Leeds who deal with complaints. The Customer Retention dept is based at Preston Brook.

No, I spent hours on to retentions before calling customer relations. Completely different.

right this thread helped me out this time last year so looking for some advise again.

contract is now available to upgrade so phoned up today
    i'm on 500xnet 100txts £20/month

was told that tarrif was no longer available and was only an 12month promo
if i wanted to keep the same mins, txts etc it would £35/month

was allowed a nokia n73 for free ( looks good and seems to be the dearest)

so what should i do now ?

ask for pac and let them make me an offer

my bills are anywhere between £35-£70 a month

whats the deals going around, even other companys so i can tell them and see what they offer.

i thought i read somewhere on here that they log your calls to them and 3 calls and your out as it were.

    thanks in advance

Depending on how long you have been with 02 I would aim for 500 mins/500 texts for 20 quid at least- especially now that the Flext tariff has come down in price again.

I had problems recently as they had changed my son's agreed tariff. After writing to Peter Erskine I can honestly say the matter has been promptly sorted. So I agree when they are good they are really good.
However I don't think we should have to go via Peter Erskine everytime - O2 need to ensure the tariffs given and accepted are adhered to.

Received a phone call from O2 High Level Customer Relations today, they apologised, offered me my original tariff of 500mins/400 txts for £15 p/m n a £30 credit (still had to keep the E50 they sent me). As tempted as I was to stay I declined, was disappointed with the £30 they offered, it would have covered the costs in calling them and the errors on the account. Not much of an incentive.

I asked for my pac code, and was told "whats the point in that?" which was surprising! Anyway eventually they said they would only give it me once they received the E50 back.

As much as I liked O2 I think its time for me to give Three a go, value for money I think O2 just arn't doing enough with their own 3G networks.
