O2 New Retention Tariff Discount 500 / Discount 750

Go to the O2 website and order the 30 day contract sim.

When you get it, leave it for a week and then phone up and say you want to cancel as you've seen a better deal with 3 something like 500mins and 500 texts and hopefully they will give you the Discount 500 tariff.

If they do, then say to the advisor that you would like to port your PAYG number over and all going smoothly you will have a great tariff and a choice of a brand new phone!

Thanks Matrix - all sounds so easy but having trouble locating 30 day contract sim. Just wondering if it has been shelved for the time being:think: .

PS I'm usually quite good at sorting out things like this but with O2 I seem to be hitting my head against a brick wall:wall: :wall: !

Thanks Matrix - I have been trying to get into that part since yesterday but for some reason or another I keep getting the following everytime. Seems strange that you have been able to log into it though

Emailed O2 and they have replied and number sorted etc etc. Sim card will be on it's way tomorrow .

Had to order via phone this morning because page kept going on and off! Not to worry because it is now all done for the time being . So thanks alot:).

It is a 30 day rolling contract and once he sees how many mins/texts he does need then we can ask to go on a monthly tariff - just like you said Matrix.

We do have to give 30 days notice so he will have this tariff for two months more or less which we're both happy about. So thanks again for your help and if anything goes wrong (!) lol I'll let you know:D !!

Just seen the SE w800i has gone down to £4.99 with 150mins/100 text for £25 pm. This is the phone he wanted and the tariff isn't too bad either considering he phones more than text.

Now I could order one of these and send sim card back or just wait and hope that in a months time he might get the same phone but better deal :think: :idea: :doh:

rang today! great news was going to get 200mins and 500 texts for £30 a month.


Negociated - 400mins and 1000 texts and free phone for the same price. well happy!!!
