The only way i can think of where you will be able to move over to Pay Monthly would be to get one of the 30 day contract sim cards and after 30 days phone to cancel it and hopefully they will move you over to the Discount 500 tariff.0

I hadn't thought of that mind you I don't know much about the 30 day. Shall investigate.....................thanks.
Edited update:
Just been over to O2 to look. Good deal for him BUT he wants a new phone as his one (Siemens CX65) appears to have died on him:( and it's not a year old yet but he bought it in Australia.

there is a known fault with this handset you could always send it away for that "Update via Siemens Consumer Care where pre-paid packaging will be supplied. Siemens will endeavour to complete the upgrade on receipt.
Of course you also have the option of speaking to a member of our customer care team, who will help you make the necessary alterations to your settings. You can reach our Siemens Service Hotline by phoning 08705 33 44 11"

30 day contracts are great, but text bundles are high and i was not on average using 50%-75% of them this is why I got 750mins & 400 texts from retentions for £35.00 plus a further £15.00 off for 12 months thus £20 a month and a sammy Z500 twice replaced and now without a handsetI need to go into o2 shop for replacement
If I helped or saved you money - Thank me
If I helped you spend some money - spank me
If I done both - :lipsrseal me:eek:0 -
THANKS!!! Just called them, spoke to a very nice lady. His phone is still covered by warranty in this country and I just have to get the reference numbers etc off his phone and call them back.........................! Excellent! Now we will only need to find an excellent contract! :j .0

Having secured a good deal on my contract, I encouraged a friend who is on O2 PAYG to do the same. On his second attempt he was offered a £25 per month contract with 500 anytime Xnet and 500 text (he was told he could 750 mins and 100 texts as an alternative) plus he was given a new K750 plus a bluetooth headset for free. Keep trying.....Nice to save.0

Are you on PAYG as well rodders? What good deal did you manage to get? think I might give them another try today especially as son's phone is going to be repaired and he doesn't want a different one. It means I can have a new one instead!0 -
Could someone check this deal out for a friend, please?
She is with O2, she uses her phone a lot in the daytimes and her average bill is around £80 per month. Her contract is up for renewal and she has spoken to customer services (not retentions) who have offered her 900 x network mins and 250 texts for £48 per month.
Does anyone know of any better deals before she signs up on Monday?
Thanks

Hi Daisy!!
We need to know if she is a direct customer of O2, that means did she buy her phone in a O2 shop? We also need to know whether she gets her bill online or through the post and we can then advise you further.0 -
Hi Matrix, thanks for the quick response!!
She is a direct customer of O2. She was originally a BT customer, has been with them donkey's years, and has always dealt with them over the phone. She gets her bills by post and pays by DD.
Cheers!
