Hmmm really ? yes I might just try that but I am still pleased0 -

If you do use the 3G sim, make sure you save all your contacts/messages onto your phone, stick in the the 3G sim and transfer all the data from the phone to the sim. Cut up the old sim before throwing it away, so nobody can use it. :beer:0 -
Finally got through to retentions. Got 200 mins and 500 texts for £15 per month (woohoo!) and a SE K800i for £89 (slightly higher than I would have liked, but it's my Xmas pressie this year.) The guy didn't even need any prompting to start bargaining, which was strange cos the past few calls haven't even had a smell of anyone wanting to give me a better offer.
I'd advise anyone to make sure they have one or two alternative tariffs that they'd take up, though. It seems to work a lot better if you knopw what else is on offer on the market.0 -
May I ask what is the best time to call for cancellation or retention?
I was given to understand that we have to give 30 days notice in writing to cancel subscription. My daughter's 12 months monthly Online contract will end 26/01/07. We have called o2 few times and no good offer has been given. The last advisor told me to call after 26/12 when they might have a better tariff. I am worried that if it is not acceptable, we would have a less than 30 days to go through the notice process. He said as long as we ask for a PAC code, we do not need to stick to the 30 days rule. Is that right? Any advice is appreciated.0 -
My problem will be the opposite when I phone o2 soon, a year ago both me and my boyfriend both got 1000 any network any time minutes and 2000 texts and new phones for £40 (his is £45)..
When i call this time I will be looking to reduce the tarriff etc.. not sure what way it will go :-):staradmin:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin0 -

PACs only last valid 30 days from the date off issue! Your account must remain active if the PAC is to work. This means that if you close your account and tried to use the PAC, then you wouldn't be able to transfer your number as the contract account has been closed/terminated. If you are successful in using the PAC, you will be sent a pro rata bill (line rental up to when the PAC was used).0 -
Just called and they said the best they can offer me is 100 free xnet anytime mins, no texts, £8.50 per month and a SE K750i (or £50 cashback).
Doesn't sound great to me, think I can do better with a fresh cashback offer elsewhere. Any thoughts anyone?
BTW: Got through direct on the 0800 9777 027 freephone number for anyone not ringing on an O2 phone.0 -
Hi all, I'm on the o2 500 tariff at £35 per month but get a 30% discount thanks to a friend at o2. I can now upgrade but am wondering if the haggling situation is the same with staff accounts as it's a different customer services department (staff accounts rather than retentions).
I've been paying £24.50 (after discount) per month for 500 mins and 100 texts but I rarely spend anything more than that. I phoned today to ask about upgrading and got offered the Nokia N73 or N80 for free and the SE W810i or W850i (with 1gb memory card) for free. The SE W950i was £99.99.
Does that sound like a good deal or should I give my notice and see if they improve the offer? Which of the "free" phones of the above is the best??
THANKS IN ADVANCE!0 -
hey
what do ya tink my chances are of gettin a good contract here
this would be my 4th year with o2..
currently i get 100 any time mins and 700 messages - 19£ a month
now...
i generally used mayb 650 messages and most of the minutes... until 3 months ago.. my gf went to spain for uni and it costs her loads to text me, therefore my usage has dropped
now i know that o2 use the last 3 months to determine what deal to give u.. for this reason i have been using and abusing my texts this month, sending as many joke messages about as possible
whats my chances of getting (at worst) the same contract that im on now, with a free phone?
or would i get it much cheaper if i didnt take a phone?0
