    Last night I renewed my contract. Was on 200 mins and 500 texts for £30. They offered 500 mins and 800 texts on 12 month contract plus free K800 for £29 per month.

    I have hit upgrade/renew time on my o2 contract but do any of these deals continue the trend of including the good ol' 0870 and 0845 numbers, as I use these a lot?

    obviously I will like to push for the o2 discount 500 package but don't want to lose my usual benefits:

    0870/0844/0845 covered by inclusive mins
    free itemised billing
    free ITS (International Traveller Service)
    free calls to voicemail (doesn't impact inclusive mins)
    2month rollover.

    It would seem the "new contract" 12 and 18month deals don't include all the benefits I've had before like rollover, ITS and itemised billing which shows the shortfalls of those. Just wondered if these "discount 500/750" packages are also impacted by this?

    thanks for any info,
    Richard.
  • I'm on Online 400 tariff 12 month contract which is due to expire in 2 weeks. I pay £45 p/m for:

    400 anytime minutes;
    1000 SMS;
    125 MMS.

    I have been with O2 for 6 years. I was never aware of any retention scheme (thank god I found this!) Anyway, I'd now like to negotiate something with O2 and would like to know what kind of deal I could get. I have noticed I seem to be paying a lot for what I get. Essentially, I would like:

    400 anytime mins;
    500 sms; and
    a free/cheap K800i.

    What price do you think I should be aiming for and how should I start any negotiation?

    Cheers guys.

    I neogotiated a discount 500 tariff last year (£15) and the time was up for me to ring up and neogotiate again. However i was told i was only 10 months through my contract even though my 12 months £10 disocunt was up???

    The reason they gave me is that the 12 month contract starts from when you order your phone not when you first get on the tariff??? now as i was sent the wrong phone last year and had to jump through hoops to get them to admit it and send me the correct one i did not actually get it till end sept, they are saying my contract starts from then!!!

    Not happy, as my tariff has jumped up by £10 per month and i am unable to threaten to cancel. :(
  • I am on the Discount 500 tarrif for £10/month (was meant to be £15 but they forgot to take off an initial extra £5)

    I'd like a free/cheap K800i so i was thinking of making up offers from 3 "offering" 500mins/500 texts for £15month with free K800i. I used this tactic last year and got a free K750i so will try it again in a few days

    can anybody on the discount 500 tariff confirm any of the following, or advise what they get?

    0870/0844/0845 covered by inclusive mins
    free itemised billing
    free ITS (International Traveller Service)
    free calls to voicemail (doesn't impact inclusive mins)
    2month rollover.

    0870/0844/0845 covered by inclusive mins - NO
    free itemised billing - YES but only online
    free ITS (International Traveller Service) - NO
    free calls to voicemail (doesn't impact inclusive mins) - YES
    2month rollover - NO but maybe negotiable

    I think you maybe after a bit much for them to agree too. You'l get more mins/texts if ou are less picky about these extras i think

    I was told that I would be getting itemised billing and ITS included in my bundle. Voicemail is free on O2 200 and above AFAIK. Unsure about the others, but I am assuming I have a 3 month rollover at least on texts.

    quick question my contract is £30 a month reduced to £15 a month by way of they gave me 9 months credit for my £18 month contract so half price,, now after 6 months could i downgrade my contract to say a £20 a month one?

    Arghhhh. Phoned up O2 again today, and yet again they tell me that the E900 is still not in stock, it now won't be back in until the 21st August apparently.

    Are they just messing me around? Has anyone else gotten one through speaking to retentions over the last 2 weeks?

    They said I could go to my nearest O2 store, and if they had any there, I could take one, then phone them back up and get the deal I was offered. Though I'm not sure how that would work, surely I can't just go in to the shop and then go back home with the phone for free! :D
