I have to say retentions just weren't willing to do anything like 500 free mins and 400 free texts or anything close.

I knnow this will be relying on someone else's hard work but can someone point me in the direction of a Three deal that gets close for the £15 a month I have been paying.

    Thanks folks

to be honest, its all pot luck calling retentions. One day I call them, they instantly quote £100 quid for the SE W810i and won't budge. The next day, someone else quotes £49.99 for the newer K800 (which I took up!) and free for the W810 !!!

All you need to do is keep calling retentions, be persistent. Say you want 500 mins plus texts. If they dont offer you this for £20 a month just ask for your PAC code. If you are pressed as to where you might have found a cheap deal, quote https://www.e2save.co.uk - they have lots of free phones and good cashback offeres. Do you homework before calling, and check how much the phone you want is on there....

also check https://www.mobilerainbow.co.uk for better offers.

If they start hassling you that these are cashback offers, say that the overall cost is still cheaper than staying with O2. Get your PAC code, and at the next opportunity call O2 retentions again!!!! You'd be amazed at how inconsistent the offers are, depending on who you talk to.

Well I called again today and the best I could get was 500 mins, 500 texts for £20 a month but £180 for the K800!!!! He said there was nothing more he could do as the system wouldn't accept it. Trouble is if you get these deals then come renewal you don't have enough spend on your account for them to want to give you better deals etc.

Have written to complaints as they mucked me about so much last year I think they should give the phone to me free. Every month i had to call them to sort something out on my bill cos they'd screwed up.

I'm already on the O2 Discount 500. Just called them and they offered me a choice of new phones, 400 anytime / any net mins, 300 texts. And 6 months long weekends ( free calls Sat, Sun and Mon not using my minutes ) for £17.50. All this on a 12 month contract.

First call I have made too.

Can't upgrade for a couple of weeks though.

thats an excellent deal. I didnt think they were doing the 500 mins for £15 this year. and a K800 for free too :money:

Just watch your bill in the next couple of months though. I bet they make mistakes though.

I think the tariff goes up in November I was told, by £5 - so it would be £20.
  • Just off the phone to retentions and ordered a K800i.

She wouldn't give me the phone for free, but did offer it for £29.99 (initially it was £79.99). I did get a bit of the hard sell to take a K608i instead - wonder if they need to shift a few of these handsets...

Offered the "O2 500" (Discount 500?) tariff for £20 per month with 100 extra texts as a loyalty bonus.

Still works out cheaper than 3's deal, so I'm happy. I suppose I don't spend enough to get the better offers (she said I'd only used 3 minutes last month!).

right, i have just got off phone to retentions.

i am currently on o2 200 with 200 mins and 100 txts £30, but have an average monthly spend of £50. only been on o2 for a year

after about 30 mins was offered a final deal of 500 mins and 300 txts for £20, with either a nokia 3250 or nokia 6280. I wasn't happy and asked for my PAC code

what i want to ask is how to approach the call a 2nd time? what do you say, as you have already asked for the PAC code. also, should I ask for a better phone? whats the best nokia I can hope to get?

any help would be much appreciated...
