    Hi Simon83,

When you call the Retentions Dept just tell them that your looking for a better deal, you don't need to say you want to cancel.

Try and have an idea what you want with mins and texts etc..

    HTH
    well, i no what i want somthing like the 750 xmins 750 txt's for £20-£25 p/m

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker
hmm.. Don't think you'll get that for £20-£25 per month.

What I think you will get is 500 Anytime X Net and 500 Texts for £20.00 as this is what I got offered this year.

Yep same here. I got the 500 anytime x-net and 500 texts for £20, and the £100 cash for not taking a new handset. Seems to be the tariff of the moment.

Not sure how much truth is in it, but the price of the new handset is apparently determined by your spend over the last 3 months. As I was on the Discount 500 tariff, my spend for the last 3 months has only been £30 (or £29.97 to be exact), hence I was quoted high prices for a new handset.

Not related with this thread, it seems http://www.accountmanagement.02.co.uk to be down for past 1 week. Anyone knows when it will be back up running.

Does everyone use this site, or one can use "http://www.o2.co.uk/login?sendTo=http://www.o2.co.uk/" ???

i've been calling o2 for a while now, and every time i call their systems are down, , trying to chase an upgrade i ordered.. they told me to call back on friday,,,,
has anyone else had the same thing ! ?
That's what I mentioned above, when I phoned at about 4.45pm.

I phoned back at around 7pm, and got put on hold for ages, I guess they were back up and running again and dealing with a bit of backlog. I had to go out though, so I didn't get to talk to them. Will have to try again tomorrow.

0800 0288151 - That should take you to retentions, thats what I've been calling.

I just phoned up again just now regarding the deal they offered me with the E900 last week. The phone was supposed to be back in stock yesterday, but I've now been told it won't be back in until the 7th August

Really thinking about switching now, but then I'd have to give them 30days written notice.... Ahhhh. :(

Thanks for the info. I have been trying for past week myself to get in to account management without success.

I think it is separate from the usual login from the normal O2 site though.

I wouldn't get the E900 if I were you. The Sony K800i is a much better phone in every respect besides size.
