O2 New Retention Tariff Discount 500 / Discount 750

If anyone is having problems with O2 Retentions they should first contact Retentions to see if the problem can be sorted there and then.
If it can't then you should contact Peter Erskines Customer Relations Team peter.erskine@o2.com or call 0845 3300684
They have just won a best customer service award so will want to keep all customers happy. Don't sit there accepting poor service from O2 - Tell them about it and i'm sure they will sort it.0 -
Ok, just sorted out my new deal with Retentions:
O2 Online 500 Anytime X Net Mins
500 Texts
£100.00 re sign credit
£15.00 per month tariff discount
Therefore Line Rental = £20.00 per month
They were having nothing of me getting an additional £120 lump sum credit as Matrix has done (how did you do that?!) ;-)
Also, I was being quoted astronomical prices for the new phones, so decided to stay with my W800i which I've had no problems with , and take the £100 resign credit.
All in all, brings my monthly spend to £11.66 which I'm happy to pay.
The guy did say that if I chose, I could go on to the online 500 tariff and then go and buy a k800i handset from the shops in town as it would be cheaper. Anyone done anything like this before? Surely the k800i handset alone can't be that cheap in the o2 highstreet shops?0 -
I thought I was on a good deal until I read some of the posts that others have made. Some people have got themselves astonishing contract terms!
I am on a really old O2 contract. I pay a one off yearly £140 for 200 landline minutes and line rental. I have to pay for calling a mobile whether O2 or any of the others (40p peak) and 12p per text message. I have been with O2 on this type of pay in advance contract for about 10 years. I think that it is time I changed from what I have read here.
I foresee the problem being that my calling plan is so old that it is no longer available to new customers and there is nothing like it on other networks to compare it to. So I may have difficulty convincing them to improve the terms.
I would be happy if the free 200 mins included mobiles. A few free text messages would be handy too!
Anybody know of a better deal than this that I can use as a tool to negotiate with?
Thanks

Hi all,
I've been on O2 200 (£30/month) via Phones4U for the last two years (12 month contract, but I haven't bothered upgrading yet). Been an O2 customer for 3 years in total.
My phone's been playing up so I think it's time to call in the upgrade, and I'd really like a K800i.
My question is, can I sort this out through O2 retentions or do I have to deal with Phones4U? Would I possibly get a better deal if I went into a P4U branch and haggled?
Thanks in advance,
Neil0 -

I think your contract is with P4U and you won't get much joy from going to 02 retentions. I only say this as other people who have posted on this thread have said that they are with 02 via CPW and 02 wouldn't do good deals for them, they had to go to CPW.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. Best thing you can do is find a deal online from another network then call 02 retentions and say you are thinking of moving if they can't match or better the deal you have found. I am currently getting 200 anytime/any network minutes that rollover and 500 texts for £15 per month. I can't see why they shouldn't offer you this too.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Phones4u O2 contracts are direct with O2, and you should be able to negotiate with O2 retentions.0
