I phoned them today to upgrade.
After a bit of negotiation and saying i've been offered 500 mins and 500 texts on Three they offered me a K750i and 500 mins and 100 texts. I didn't request my PAC number.
I asked about a free blue tooth headset but they wouldn't give me one.
I didn't take the offer as this phone wasn't in stock, due in Sept some time.
Does anyone think i will get a better offer if requesting my PAC number ?
I'm gonna try again late Sept.Never buy a stupid dwarf -

yes you should get this deal after enough trying. Are you on o2 online or retail(instore)? as online customers will get more texts.
Going to try going into an o2 store to get my free k750i. heard you can from another forum0 -
went to the o2 store and he said he wanted £50 for me to upgrade in store for the k750i. ill keep waiting!0

A friend phoned O2 this week to ask to change his contract to PAYG. They offered him 300 off peak minutes, 500 texts and a Nokia 7260 for £10 a month, the same as he would have paid on PAYG with no minutes or new phone.0

Ive been on o2 online for a year. 1000 off peak mins (o2 to o2 only) and 500 texts. I phoned the retention number mentioned and was first offered:
500 xnet mins, 400 texts for £25 per month
750 xnet mins, 400 texts for £35 per month
I rang back later and spoke to a different woman saying that a friend was offered 500 xnet mins, 500 texts and free k750i for £15 per month. She advised that they would not be able to offer this deal anymore and that the best she could offer is:
500 xnet mins, 100 texts for £15 per month or
750 xnet mins, 100 texts for £25 per month.
Now Im confused! I should just take the original offer as the texts will increase my bill on the tariffs with only 100. An offer of 500xnet mins, 500texts all for £15per month would be jus perfect! Im after the Sony w800i aswell which she said cannot be offered for less than £50 upgrade.
oh well!0 -
it goes like said at the beginning on how you are value, the tariff you are on, is not a high value tariff. So that is probably the best they can really offer, that was the type of deal I was getting as well. (similar tariff.) But one thing that might be open to you (was for me.) Was that they reduce your current tariff by half price and than give you £100 credit on your account instead of a handset. (in my case I didn't really want a phone.) The net result was I only pay now £1.67 a month for 450 minutes cross network calls offpeak and 100 sms a month. Or you could of had 300 minutes cross network offpeak calls and 500 sms a month. (I wanted cross network more than call volume.) Also Three has now change its tariffs so the deals on three not so good anymore :-(.0

Can someone give me advice on the best way to go about getting a better deal for my son whose O2 online 100 contract finishes on 28th October.
He'd like the K750 and would like more minutes-the discount 500 tarriff would be ideal although I realise he might not get that as he's not a particularly high spender. Some people have manged it on this thread though.
So basically, does he phone up now and give his notice to cancel and say no more. Or does he phone up and mention a deal, like 3, that he's seen.
Which number should he phone?0 -
you have to wait until 29th September+ before calling really, and than ask for your PAC cause you want to transfer to Three, Orange whatever. Do find some deals so you know they exist and than away u go. Also do remember most of these 12 months half price line rental on the net are cashback deals. Which have a lot of hassle and risk. O2 offers will be less risk, so hence they might not be able to offer you such a good deal but to be frank if they offer the same deal but cost £10 more over the year say, I would say that is a good deal and take it. For the hassle free life it will make.0
