I guess mine isn't the best of deals, but its better than what I had last year.
I asked to cancel my contract, when asked why I quoted -
DirectText 1400 from 3
Free K800i
£15pm for first 6 months then £30pm after
600min pm off peaks for 6 months, 300 pm after
2000 texts pm for 6 months, 1000 pm after
I was offered
500mins offpeak pm
700texts pm
12 month contract
£19pm
I had to pay £80 for my K800i but it's a better deal that I was previously on (500mins off peak, 500 texts for £25pm)
I also took out the silver insurance at £3.75pm because the K750i I have not started having joystick problems after about 6 months and I didn't have any insurance.
Should I have tried for a better deal ? Any tips for my next attempt in 12 months ?0 -
Changed my contract to O2 discount and got my new phone K800i free, 500xnet mins, 100 txt, free bluetooth, free ITS, at £12.50 plus 3 moths free. Its all in my account i checked it and O2 has given all what they offered me. Very very happy with their services and the great deal. K800i got a fantastic camera its little big for me but i got it as i can take lots of pics of my children any time.

Just tried and got nowhere. To cancel it must be in HAND WRITTEN LETTER no word processor letter is acceptable.
Lying scumbag cheats.
You can see already the we never received it letter,
Get stuffed O2.
I will get a free 12 month contract via reesit muttons website0 -
Well the time has come for me to leave O2. I won't be shedding any tears.
I wanted the shiny new K800i, but they insisted they would have to charge me 79.99 for it, although they give it to new customers for 49.99. After telling the woman that 3 would give me it for free, she finally decided she could give me the 02 online offpeak 500 contract that i'm currently on for 15 quid a month, but still have to charge me £79.99 for the phone. Now technically, i know that would save me a total of £40 over the year, but i'm just annoyed they couldn't give a customer of 5 years some more slack. I've finally decided to move to 3, get 750 minutes (anytime) a month for £30.
My bill is normally 30 - 50 pounds, and i figure most of the extra costs come from using more minutes than i'm supposed to, and occasional daytime minutes. Since my gf is on 3, at least any minutes over will be on the same network.0 -
I'd be really grateful for some help. Have just cancelled and finished my Orange contract and now want the most minutes and some texts I can get. Do not NEED a new phone but happy to have one. What is the number to contact O2 direct to see about a deal as new customer? and can someone be kind enough to briefly outline the benefits of the K800i (what make is that by the way?) as that phone seems to be popular. Thanks in advance for any help.:T0

hey there,
im guessing that the k800i at the moment is the best camers phone on the market. It has a 3.2megapixel camera and is ment to have a powerful flash!
so if you take loads of pic, its seems to be the phone to have!0 -

You wont get a speical deal by phoning them i doubt and thier online plans are okay but they are being revamped in the next week or so im led to believe not sure if this is the o2 online part aswell.
But being a new customer you will have to wait a year before your offered any of the contracts like the above.

the tarriff revamp is to bring in store O2 tarriffs more in line with online ones. I doubt they'll change the standard 20 quid 500 mins/txts they offer to upgrade customers.0
