Hey Aussie
Here you are about to have a Ninny Day. I have just had the Granny day from hell with DGS1 sickie but DGS2 has decided I am his Nanny which he wants to call me so I think I am now Granny Brown and Now Nanny! DGS2 kept apologising and laughing as he called me Mummy first then Nanny - he kept saying I have done it again Nanny - you not my Mummy! He is still not 3! He can call call me what he likes so long as not rude!
Take Care, as everyone else.
A very tired GB!

Aw Kyle
Sounds like a my wee my DD day when something goes wrong but most of every other days goes right. I had that problem when kids were young - you can always spring stuff out the cupboard to supplement. Don't worry too much and Twink will be there too Sweatheart. (I had an awful night in Fife last night!)
Take Care.
Love and hugs to to all.

I can confirm the following:
1. it works ok if you leave the bicarb out (I didn't have any)
2. they taste nice just out of the oven
3. they taste nice 5 minutes later
4. they taste nice if you eat 2 more in quick succession with a mug of coffee
5. they taste nice cold.
I will check out the "late night" taste and the "next day" taste and report further tomorrow perhaps (if I can roll myself in the direction of the computer by that point....)
NMS
i know i slipped you a couple of pounds but theres no need to go overboard with the praise :rotfl:

Hello everyone,
can't remember the last time I posted - must be absolutely ages ago. I kinda got sidetracked doing some sewing up until christmas so didn't have a lot of time for using the computer  However, that project has been finished and I haven't started the next one yet so you'll be stuck with me for a while! (so there)
Trying to be very good now as OS has kinda slipped a bit recently, so need to get back on track. Got some stuff chucked out over the weekend and got a fair bit of tidying done. I'm trying desperately to lose weight as my wedding is starting to catch up with me - can't believe how quickly the time is going past! I've lost some weight but it's not shifting as fast as I would like (I think because of the underactive thyroid) so I don't think I'll lose as much as I want to, but anything is a bonus at this point
Other than that, things are going on much as usual. I want to cook some different things as I seem to be making the same kind of stuff all the time, so am reading through lots of recipes for inspiration. Also aiming to do a major clearout of junk in the house - I have waaaaaaay too many clothes I don't think I'll wear again and so many other bits and pieces I don't need so must really get going with that. For now though, I think the kettle is calling me (so are the cookies but I'm trying to ignore them!) and I want to have a look at more sewing patterns
*hugs* to all, take or leave as you please0 -
OK the cookies are delayed... decided I couldn't possibly cook cookies in the oventhe state it was in... so scrubbed it and then wiped down - now it's soaking again so hopefully the rest of the yuck will come off... hoping to still have time to cook cookies later!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Hi all,
just managed to catch up with everyones day and i can see some hugs are needed ((((hugs))))
Jayward - now you can look forward and get your life sorted.
I`m really tired now after a very hectic day at w**k and then a lot of jobs to do once i got home.
Just sat down and done an amendment to my online shop and something went wrong and i lost the lot including my delivery slot
I ended up ringing them to sort it out and thankfully my shopping has reappeared and the delivery is once again fine Phew!! glad thats sorted out.
The kitchen is tidy once again and the hounds are walked so i`m off for a nice shower and an early night before getting up in the middle of the night again to start another day.
It`s my weekend off coming up and boy am i looking forward to it as i don`t get many. i was thnking about doing some cleaning earlier but someone sent me an email and now i`m not going to botheri`ll try copying it so that you can all read it.

Remember...a layer of dust protects the Wood beneath it.
'A house becomes a home when you can write 'I love you' on the furniture .'
I used to spend at least 8 hours every weekend making sure things were just perfect - 'in case someone came over'
Finally I realized one day that no-one came over; they were all out living life and having fun!
NOW, when people visit, I don't have to explain the 'condition' of my home .
They are more interested in hearing about the things I've been doing while I was away living life and having fun.
If you haven't figured this out yet, please heed this advice.
Life is short. Enjoy it!
Dust if you must .......
but wouldn't it be better to paint a picture or write a letter,
bake cookies or a cake and lick the spoon or plant a seed,
ponder the difference between want and need?!
Dust if you must, but there's not much time . . . .
with beer to drink , rivers to swim and mountains to climb ,
music to hear and books to read, friends to cherish and life to lead.
Dust if you must,
but the world's out there with the sun in your eyes,
the wind in your hair,
a flutter of snow, a shower of rain.
This day will not come around, again.
Dust if you must ,
but bear in mind, old age will come and it's not kind. . .
And when you go - and go you must - you, yourself will make more dust!
Share this with all the wonderful friends in your life.
I JUST DID.
It's not what you gather, but what you scatter that tells what kind of life you have lived.
Have a good evening all

Hiya!
Not posted for a couple of days but I have been reading the thread.
Big hugs to tattycath, jayward and kyle and to anyone else in need of one, particulary those who are feeling a bit low today.
Well we're all on half-term break this week and DH went to Poland yesterday for his annual tour of the foreign bars with a few mates. :rotfl: It's his 50th birthday today and he's keeping me informed via text messages of just how cheap the beer is! He's back tomorrow so the girls and I have been keeping busy getting things ready for his party on Saturday.
Yesterday I ordered lots of special balloons for the party room and we had a cake done in Asda with a baby photo of him on the front.
Today I took the girls into town to get their party outfits. I'm glad to say they chose something from George so they were good value outfits. They've had a couple of friends over for dvds and tea this afternoon and now we're just chillin' out before bedtime.
We've got a big group of friends staying with us over the weekend and lots of others popping in over the weekend who are travelling up for the party so I need to give the house a good clean before then.;)
Have a good evening!0
