Morning all
N9eav, hope the weather stays nice again for you
Aussie, sorry you are having floods, the weather here is lovely
Got some things finishing on Ebay today, and have just received a mail to say one is described incorrectly, and is actually worth a lot of money. Oh well, will have to let it run and hope for the best
First weigh in at SW today, and haven't been 100% good, so had better miss breakfast - wish me luck
Hugs to anyone who needs one xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
morning all,
Looks like another bright sunny day :j, the weather said that its going back to winter tomorrow and will be freezing  still its nice while it lasts.
Going to change the beds today, will get them washed and on the line while its nice.
Got a friend coming for coffee this morning, might even give her some banana bread, ( its nearly all gone), so am feeling posessive about it.
Got chicken legs, mash and veg tonight. Will have a quick tidy round this morning.
DD had got dance after school so will collect her at 5.
Sola, I get the 'virtual pot' too, with the same choices, wonder if we work for the same company ?
Hope you all have good days, will pop back later xx0 -
Good Morning All
Jannyjannie - there is an ISA on Quidco at the moment with Legal & General - cant remember the cash back but it may be worth a look.
Very cold and misty here at the moment but looks like is going to be another nice day. This morning need to take DD to the orthodontist which is 45 mins away. Hate this job as we will get told off as she hasnt been wearing it enough. Normally OH takes here but he is off to another village for a kidney scan. Dont think much will show up, we are still awaiting his consultants appointment - been 3 months now.
Once home will be alternating between office work and ironing, did loads yesterday but dont think even cleared a 3rd of the mountain.
No idea what is for dinner yet, when its a bit brighter will go and venture out to the garage and have a route through the freezer.
Have a great day all.

Morning All
We actually had a rather cloudy day yesterday, with a bit of breeze, it only took the temperature down about 3 degrees, but is weird how fast you become aclimatised to the warmer weather. Looking at the 10 day forecast for when DS and mate come out late Saturday, and it shows warmer but still some cloud, but it changes daily, so it is a bit of pot luck. Hope they find some sun though it will make them feel better.
Some neighbours from home are also neighbours here and they came round for a drink last night, so up to date with local gossip now. No no murders, divorces, affairs, just really about the rain and what the local council will be doing about the drains. It was nice to see them though. Agree to go out to lunch on Friday, well any excuse really.
Ordered some polycarbonate to infill the balustrades, delivered same day cut to size so we drilled and attached it so that job is done downstairs. Unfortunately they sent wrong sizes for upstairs so that may arrive today!
Need to get the WM on, but only 8.10 ATM so will wait another 10 mins so not to wake our neighbours.
Take care (((hugs))) DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Morning all,
Having a quiet cuppa before i get the boys up. I'm ready for work, pack up made, no wash load to do today?? how did that happen, only got half a load which is very unusual in this house. The poor washing machine has to get up for work at least once a day usually:rolleyes:
Last night we had stir fry sweet and sour veg with rice instead of the shep pie which was already made, so we've got the shep for dinner tonight.
Got to go to veg farm and get a sack of pots and loads of fruit and veg once i've picked the boys up from school because we're nearly out of fruit again and as we are all fruit bats that is a bad thing in this house.
Hope you all have a happy and productive day. Hugs and best wishes to all who need or want them.

Using up all the left overs in the house so will have some interesting meals the next couple of days!
Oh need to go and sort out a wet bed, bless him he really struggles DS with trying to have a dry night,
Hope to catch you leter

Ohhhhh nothing that posh for me
, I work for the Body Shop at head office, but exactly the same benefits, even the bikes, how strange xx
Posh it aint, believe me! The package is probably managed by the same or similar external company; we started using it a few years ago, and it's turned out to be a really good way of doing it. You can get childcare vouchers, discounted gym membership, Give As You Earn etc; there's a whole range of stuff, rather than one size fits all. I vary my package each year according to our family plan and what we've got going on. I sadly missed the days back in the Seventies and Eighties when City banks offered really cheap mortgages for their employees (came into it too late); some people are on something like 2% for life. Now that would've been a benefit worth having.0
