    I've been Money Tipped!
    :hello: Morning!

:jMy Kenwood electric slicer turned up today, I have been wanting one of these for a year or more! Thank you PP for the post about the £10 off code! I have a wm loaf in the bm ready to practice on! I am hopeless at cutting even slices, everything is normally a doorstop! even the meat! so will hopefully be eating daintier dinners:rotfl: from now on! and have more leftover to freeze for future dinners. when I saw the card on the mat telling me I had a parcel by the gate I thought for a minute that I had won a competition! ;) Still trying though!

Big (((hugs))) to Mrs Mix, sorry to hear you are having a bad day! Big (((hugs))) to PP as well and JackieO, Hillstep, Bemuzed and anyone else who needs one.

I have a mega dentist appointment this afternoon which I am not looking forward to but it has to be done! Bridge has started to come loose  and needs replacing, so I will be a bit quiet tonight! painkillers and soft food are at the ready!;)

Crocheting and knitting has come to an abrupt halt today as I hurt my hand yesterday, so stupid the way I did it - walked through a doorway and left my hand to one side bashing it hard against the wall! :o ouch! Luckily the puppy is now walking to heel better so I managed to give her a reasonable walk earlier on.

Csarina - I love creme caramel, must check out the recipe and see ihow hard it is to make them.

Welcome to Jackie! Just chip right in like the rest of us, everyone is very friendly!

:hello: Hello Ivyleaf! Don't forget to pace!

  • Morning everyone

Only just got home as my 2 DD's both had dentist appointments at different times so thats most of my morning gone due to that but at least its done now for the next 6 months anyway.

Got a load in the WM - was gonna make cottage pie for tea but think i might make meatballs instead now.

Not much else to report - just another day really!!!

Hope everyone has a good day

Morning all ..........lovely day again and had to go to town to get the things I forgot yesterday...........managed to get one but not the other.
Parcel collected from post office..........thought it was stuff I'd ordered from a web site but it wasn't...........it was freebies from Huggys.........swimming bag and other stuff for grandson. I asked them to deliver it to my sons address but as I've got it now I'll put it with grandsons other bits and pieces for his first birthday in June.............bit of money saving there...........lol
Expecting young girl to come and take over the phone today to try and sort out benefit problems.............she was going to be here at half ten so I rushed about in town............and she's not here yet !!!
Can't settle to get on with anything until she's here in case she needs a hand so can't see much getting done today..............except maybe clearing desk of debris................I'm sure it breeds overnight...............lol

Have a good day and hugs (((((((((((((:o )))))))))) to those who need them

    Afternoon all

Gorgeously sunny out there today - washings blowing on the line so it will smell lovely later.

Been finishing off my dresser this morning, sorted through my fabric stack and came up with just the right colour (and just the right amount) - made that into little curtains and put yet another coat of wax on it....looks lovely really pleased with it (piccies on the shabby chic thread)

Now need to crack on in the kitchen, the floor was washed first thing so need a final sweep up and sort out....dw needs emptying and I need filling - forgot to have brekkie this morning so I'm starving now....cheese and crackers I think.

Got last weeks left over beef stew out the freezer with some pastry to make a pie tonight - will serve with mash and veg and maybe an onion gravy as I seem to have loads of onions this week.

Hope you all have a great day.

The house we moved into a couple of weeks ago has oil-fired central heating and hot water. The oil which was still in the tank is running very low, so I phoned round to see how much it would cost to get some more. The minimum quantity is 450 litres, and that would set us back nearly £250  It probably wouldn't be so bad if we could pay it off over 3 months, but because we don't already have an account with them we have to pay in advance. They might as well be asking us to stump up a million quid. I'm so [omits swear word] sick of this constant financial struggle. I really feel like giving up and just walking away from it all.
  • Hang in there Justamum! something will turn up.

Can you buy a smaller quantity from a neighbour to tide you over? Or is it just your house that has that system?

Are you renting? If so, would the landlord refill the tank and add the cost into your rent for a while?

I'm sure you've thought of all the options so I'll shut up now!
