£8 Flext35. thats quite impressive! Well done!
Today was the first time I was able to request my PAC to try to force a better deal, but no luck. said they couldnt better the deal on vario 3. Got my PAC code so ready to go if I choose to us it.
However, I spotted a deal with Orange that offered a 12 month contract & Vario 3 for £99 @ £30 pm. They have an unlimited data package for off peak evenings and weekends for £5 and £8 for on peak but only 30mb per month!
Could be tempted if the phone (unbranded tytn 2 with orange) wasn't sim locked like I understand e2save phones aren't (and can vouch for as my wifes phone didn't require unlocking from Orange in order to go to tmob payg).
In which case I could get the phone, give the missus the orange sim with more than enough mins and texts and slip my tmob sim in the tytn2 on the reduced tariff of 14.58 for flext25 Web'n'Walk if I renew with no phone that they offered me today.
3 have confirmed no data package available for non 3 issued phones, so thats them out.
Its just a shame O2, Orange and Voda don't compete on data. There is a big market there for one of these to steal customers if only they could come up with a decent data package.
Maybe I should renew with tmob and put the extra saving on tariff away in the hope that it will grow and the price of the sim free or contract offers fall.0 -
Jada, your deal certainly beats mine. I got a sim only (month by month contract) worth £20pm for 300 mins and 100 texts. I called up retententions and they've discounted it to £5pm for the next 6 months!0

Just in case some of you subscribed thread peeps don't scan the forum, I had what I considered a good non contract based offer from TM to tide me over until the new year when better upgrade deals should be available.

I am reading the whole renewal thing again. My 18 month contract is up in Feb so I am starting to think about it for next months conversations. I upgraded last time from MDA3 to a MDA Vario 2 with Tmobile but I have been really dissappointed with it and I am desperate to change it.
I currenty pay £25.49 a month and for this I get flext 20 (£34 to use) however I never use it and I dont need this much. I get webnwalk pro which means unlimited data for internet and email and this includes use as a modem for a laptop etc. which I do use sometimes. I get free voicemail too.
I am happy with the performance network wise but I find dealing with Tmob difficult. They never reply to emails unless you manage to get someone good and they are technicallty unaware whe it comes to handhedpcss. I als hate having to pay to call them!
I will need plenty of research this time but I am not looking forward to it. If anyone is on similar deals and changing now then let me know. I am down as a business customer.0 -

Stay put my friend.... T-Mobile will be continually be looking at Loyalty in 2008. Infact all the networks are... and I dare say your existing history may influence upgrades. Currently TM only look at last 3 months spend.0 -
I am in the last month of my 18 month flext 35 t-mobile contract and have been reading all the information on this site. I have been looking around for new deals to arm myself with when I ring up retentions to try and get myself a better deal.
On a lot of the websites I have been looking at you can receive a free gift (ps3, psp, ipod etc) as well as the free phone on either a 12 or 18 month contract.
Well as I have a decent phone already could I just sign up for a new 12 month deal on the flext 35 I have been on previously and then sell of the phone and free gift and im sure the money you would make would pretty much cover your 12 month cost of the contract.
Has anybody done this before or am I totally wrong in what im saying??0 -
You only get a free gift on new contracts not upgrades.
You could sell the phone or ask T-mobile what discount they will give you to resign.
Warning to others they will no longer let you stay on old plans & upgrade, also you can't keep discount & upgrade as I have for the last 3 years & found out to my cost in November0 -
but what i was trying to say was that becuase i am at the end of my contract, rather than trying to ring up retentions for a rubbish deal why not just start a new contract with a free phone and gift included, sell them both and that money should cover the cost of my 12 month contract0

This is the old loyalty question - same for car / home insurance and many other areas.
If it is no hasle to you go ahead and get a new contract with freebies - you can even transfer your number usually.
When will companies realise it is probably easier and cheaper to retain existing customers rather than lose them by offering deals for "brand new customers only" (I think I feel a TV ad comming on!!!)"The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him no good."(Samuel Johnson 1709-1784)
Lots of years in financial services, still learning!0 -
The free gift deals are not from the network.
I upgrade people all day long on TMobile and they CAN keep their existing tariff get a new phone and dependant on customer value and handset chosen can get a discount as well.
If you cancel and go on a new 12 month flext 35 tariff you will only get £90 allowance Per month and pay for voicemail and 1st minute chargeable.0
