  • I am in same boat, asked about the w995 only offered whats on website, looks like they are trying to move everyone over to this price plan. As for the N86 i was in tmobile store and they said dont bother with it on T-mobile as the software they have on it causes so many problems and are gettting so many returned because of this, was the same with n96 and n97.

Have already requested the cancellation of my T-Mobile line as the offers had been very poor. Just called up one last time to see if there was any better offers available on the N86. All they offered me was the N86 on a normal price plan. Seem quite happy to lose customers now.

Hi There, I also fancy an N86 when my contract expires, haven't heard of any problems with them the reviews look good, and they are available on pretty reasonable tariffs on Virgin. I plan to use this as a bargaining tool when I call them in a couple of weeks but it looks as though I will have to move if I get the same response as you!

I wonder if they're telling you porkies as if it was so problematic surely they would have withdrawn, it at least temporarily, to sort out the problems. They don't seem to have the N97 mini on the website any more so it looks as though this has been pulled. Would love more info on this if there's anyone from t-mobile out there?

N97 Mini was never on T-Mobile.

N97 in store was limited to upgrades only due to expensive RRP, only online or over the phone could sell on a new.

N86 went to some stores in the UK but a limited amount, more stores are getting them now so you might find one of them near you.

N96 was discontinued a while back

    Hope this helps :)

The N97 and n97 mini were both available for new customers, and were removed from site due to recalls, the n96 again discontinued due to same problem, and two stores i have been too said dont bother with the n86 as they are having lots returned

I was offered an n97 mini yesterday on t-mobile in a tesco store it seemed to be generally available not only for upgrade, at least no mention of this on the blurb. They did not have the N86 available but it was on display and they offered to order it for me when my upgrade is due.

I just called up again. Asked about the BB 9700 this time. Best they could offer me was a 24 month contract at £30.00 pm(inc BIS). Same as a new customer. It would seem that 8 years with T-Mobile dose not count for anything anymore.
  • They have also removed the n86 off the website if any of you were looking for one. might not be best to get one unless sim free to start with without tmobile software in

I can't believe people still even bother with Nokia / Sony Ericsson phones when you could get an Android phone for the same money... each to their own I guess but I could never go back after trying android.

When i say the N97 mini was not on T-Mobile i mean direct from T-Mobile either online, in store or over the phone.

You might well be able to get from Carphone or some other 3rd party but from T-Mobile direct you cant,

I work for T-Mobile so know this to be the case
