Hi ASTONDB9
How long have been been in contract with them?If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)0 -
about 15 years
last years deal after about 7 phone calls and requesting a pac number:
12mth contract, no phone, unlimited off peak calls to landline and tmobile for £10 month
really happy with this deal on just enquiring about when upgrade due.
i dont think im going to have same luck with vodafone due in a months time0 -
My friend doesn't really need many minutes or text's just a few a month but she's not with TMOB - Shame they don't do a fiver a month deal for new customers. I wonder if I put her on Solo for a couple of months, then went to cancel whether they would offer the fiver a month deal?If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)0

Just a quick question about distance selling regulations.
I read the following on the Which website.
I phoned retentions on Tuesday. I cannot recall asking to start immediately. I have checked my online account and it states my contract expires on the 28th January 2012, indicating it started yesterday (Tuesday was the 26th). In any case my phone only arrived today so I don't know why it started before that.
If I was to change my mind about this contract and phone and wanted to cancel, would I be able to as I appear to be exempt from the quoted caveat.
EDIT: Also, with the phone today I received a letter titled 'Consumer service/upgrade agreement'. I am not sure if this is the written contract but it is lacking specific details of the tariff plan. These are online now on my account but slightly inaccurate also.
Can anyone help me with this please?
Also, does anyone know if the above is true, that you do not have to give a reason for cancelling? If you do, what would constitute a valid reason? Would simply changing your mind about the plan and handset cut it?0 -
Sorry if this has been posted already, I have seen some decent deals on the Samsung Galaxy Portal and LG InTouch Max on the tmob website.
Anyone been offered any decent deals on retentions for these?0 -
Admittedly I'm not a high value customer (been on a £15/month contract for 18 months), but just rang up and asked what they could offer (didnt particularly threaten to leave), and got offered no new phone, 100 mins & 100 txts for £5 a month for 24 months. Rubbish!
I then asked if I could have any data, they said for an £5 extra a month. Bear in mind that for £10/month on PAYG you get unltd txts and data. Think I'll go for that!0 -
Hallo, just found this sub-board.
I'm coming to the end of a 18 month, £25/m deal, which had 200 mins, 400 texts and unlimited internet.
I use about 100-150 mins and 70-100 texts per month, and I do use the internet a lot.
I quite fancy upgrading to the Nokia N86 phone, and could get about £100 for recycling my old Nokia, but does anyone have an idea what sort of retention deal I could get from them for say 200 mins and texts and unlimited internet?0 -

You are in the exact same position as me, I'm also thinking about the N86 and am currently approaching the end of a £25 pm contract with them and looking for advice! I intend to use the Virgin deals on this phone as a bargaining chip when I call for an upgrade in a couple of weeks, the t-mobile deals on the website are not as good as Virgins and all seem to be 24month deals as opposed to 18 months. I have also noted that t-mobile are now starting to charge for voicemail on top so watch out for that one! The Virgin deals also offer two months free to existing customers so all in all I think t-mobile will have to do pretty well to stop me from jumping ship.0 -
My Combi 25 contract @ £30 per month is up for renewal today. Having just acquired an unlocked HD2, I was considering a port to another PAYG provider (3 or Tesco). I don't need or use a lot of minutes or texts, but do need the internet. I called up and went through the "thinking of leaving options" and was offered a 24 month contract with 100 minutes, 100 texts and unlimited internet for £5 per month (with a £10 loyalty discount). Given that I was budgeting for £10 a month for the next two years, I'm satisfied with that deal.0
