OK, well I'll try that it's just sometimes you say want to cancel and they go 'sure, that will be a minute'......
Mind you it won't be the end of the world leaving them.0 -
Phoned retentions.
Got offered Iphone 3GS 16GB for £79.99, 24 month contract, £35p/m, 800 minutes, unlimited texts and internet.
Took it.0 -
Pretty close match to what you can get on Vodaphone but with an extra 200 minutes talk per month. £35 pm and £80 for phone
Seems difficult to get any real bargaining on iphonesTANSTAAFL !0 -

Just saw that now, same on Vodaphone with 200 less minutes + £10 extra for handset.
Not as good a deal as I previously thought.....
Is there a 'cooling off' period for joining a new contract/getting an upgrade?
I'm still in two minds about another two years on £35 a month.....0 -
7 day distance selling regs apply - but I doubt if you will get a much better iphone dealTANSTAAFL !0

Oh I doubt I will but it's just occured to me I am locked in for two more years at £35.....I'm having second thoughts. I will look into these distance selling regulations and have a think about it.
Thanks for all your replies.0 -
Just a quick question about distance selling regulations.
I read the following on the Which website. You do not have to give a reason for canceling the mobile phone service. However, you waive your distance selling cancellation rights if you ask for the mobile phone service to start immediately.
If I was to change my mind about this contract and phone and wanted to cancel, would I be able to as I appear to be exempt from the quoted caveat.
EDIT: Also, with the phone today I received a letter titled 'Consumer service/upgrade agreement'. I am not sure if this is the written contract but it is lacking specific details of the tariff plan. These are online now on my account but slightly inaccurate also.0 -
Just phoned T-mobile as I was due an upgrade (daughters phone, I'm the account holder) or mug that pays the bill if you prefer it
Came away with a free Blackberry Bold 9700, 800 minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited web and the Blackberry email booster all for £25 a month on an 18 month contract
this is equivalent to the Combi 35 + internet (18 Months) on the website which would have cost £41
so I'm well happy0 -

I was on the 'Combi 30' like I think 'becominganobsessivesaver' #741 was on. This was £30 a month for 12 months for 300 minutes - it was a cashback deal of course though
Many factors are taken into account on the calculation of what called loyalty not just what the previous price plan you were on. Unless both yourself and "becominganobsessivesaver" were on the same tarriff, paying the same cost every month, calling the same people every month for the same amount of time each call, then possibly you would have the same loyalty banding, but at the moment you have a 1 in 30 chance of having the same loylty banding the way t-mobile system works.0 -
I'm currently with T-Mobile on payg and I want to switch to an 18 month contract. Is it possible that I could get a better deal than what is on the website or in store? If I want to try, who should I ask to speak to when calling?0
