for those waiting till january, you can always switch to Solo, which is a monthly no phone contract and at least you will get better value until Jan.

I've been out of contract for over a year now on the old flext 35, wiv w n w. I have the 50% employee discount. I called today for an upgrade cos I wanted the G1. Without threatening to cancel or anything like that, I was offered the new Flext 35, free 8gb card, free w n w, and the G1 for £30. I rarely go over my allowance, and then only by about a fiver every 4 months or so. Did I get a good deal?

Did you keep the 50% allowance as thats what my sister has and she was told she couldnt upgrade till january. She goes over by about £10 a month so usually pays £25-£30 after the discount. Shes out of contract for a year as well

  • Just wondering if anyone had recently upgraded there mobile with t-mobile?
As mines just come up for its yearly renewal and every year i have got a NEW phone, not this time! Just rang and they said YES you are due upgrade, but we dont have any free deals at the moment...ring back January!!!??

    anyone else had this?
    or
any advise please i need a new phone free.
  • Hi,

Yep ! had this said to me just today. Best they could offer was 300 mins, 300 texts for 25 quid and no phone.
I went round the phone shops this afternoon and Car Phone Warehouse told me it was because TMobile had used their upgrade quota for 2008 due to the flext packages being so popular.

Vodafone through quidco seems the best at the moment, 600 mins unlimited texts and a phone for 25 a month plus 90 quid cashback. The shops couldn't beat that today, Car Phone Warehouse came close had a similar offer for 27 quid a month.

    Ness

Yes, T-Mobile are asking all customers to put off upgrades untul January.

Ask them to apply the loyalty discount to your account. As reehsetin says, they should reduce your line rental until you upgrade, by £5 or £10 depending on your profile up to a maximum of 6 months.
