is the mda IV the HTC Touch Pro?
The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits
  • i take it if i get accept a renewal from t-mobile along the lines of cheaper line rental, no phone, it would be on the basis of a new 18mnth contract?

Or 12 month, depending on your price plan. So yes, you would be in a new contract.

I was on the line with their 'loyalty' team to give my 30 days' disconnection notice. I mentioned Orange's deals on the Omnia, and they immediately said that although they didn't have it with them yet, they could be able to match the offer on their own tariff which has more minutes etc. (Offering 800 mins/unlimited texts and they would try to do something about web and walk)

The nice lady also mentioned that if I wanted I could wait until the contract's last day and I could switch to PAYG within 24 hours. I am inclined to believe it but want to ask my fellow MoneySavers: is this correct?
  • yes it's correct. They can do it in the last month of the contract but you'd still have to pay the remaining month which is pointless because your paying for nothing. But if you want to change to Pay as you Go, they can do this within the 24hrs. They take a £10 charge which is transfered to credit once the change is complete.

    Jess :)
  • After hours waiting to speak to somebody and failed promises from people to call me back finally got to speak to somebody! Interested in SIM only deal for my daughter (12 month contract just ending) and after detailing Virgin offer was given apology and for 15 pounds a month 350 mins and unlimited texts -30 days to cancel. Maybe could have got more but just right for us. Was so fed up that told them keen to cancel so I wouldn't have to waste hours trying to call them and that seemed to be the trigger for the deal.
  • yes it is! well, TM's version of it.
Any opinions are my own and are offered as advice only and not fact.

I spoke with retentions this morning and got offered the following:

    Samsung Omnia £50
    Combi £25
    300 minutes
    300 texts
    Web and Walk
    for £30/month

    Unlocking would cost another £15.

Is this offer any good? I have this contract and another with O2, but I've decided to terminate one of the two. O2 is also expiring this month.
  • My contract has now finished with T mobile - ideally i would like to stay with them. been with Tmob for over 10 years

Have called them up twice and the best they have offered is the Samsang Tocca with Flexi £30 - for £25 - which their website is offering. The top up so they say is offering me the TOCCA....

I am going to have one last bash with them and see what they offer

Ideally would like either the TOCCA or OMNIA with Web and Walk included for around £25 - max £30

If i cant get that i'm thinking of going to O2 and getting the I phone - funny i would happily pay the £99 for the iphone

fiish - doesnt seem a bad deal but am not good at these things :)

I would also check the prices of T-Mobiles calls. The combi Tarif calls are 30p/min all networks. Flex 20p/min, if you make a lot of calls might be better shopping around
